Why not do an actual test, go outside with low level light conditions at night, find a shadowed corner or something, put a piece of 'vibrant blue' fabric in that area and see if you actually make it out. For best results take a friend out after you've put the item in the dark spot and ask if they can see it. You'll be surprised.....or you'll just keep beating your drum to the same tune.

Actually, during the portion of military training for camouflage applications, you learn that black is an inferior color for night camouflage when compared to blues, browns, grays, as nothing in nature is true, deep black.

^ This is vibrant blue. This level of blue in an actual solid fabric will be recognised immediately in dark spaces. It's nonsense to wear this as Batman if you have any desire to conceal yourself in darkness.

Now if you take this blue as a REFLECTION of light, then I'm fine with it. And I'd say it's meant that way as well actually. But translating this to a fabric thats literally this colour like Vintijj said, yeah that's where I don't buy it anymore.

I prefer blue.. I didn't say I preferred THAT blue for **** sake.

Then I actually elaborated - & got ignored.

No Silrian, I'm not agreeing with your disdain for blue.

..& yeah - that Jim Lee pic is what I'm talking about; that murky dark blue / green / close to black colour.

I know it's a comic thing, but that as a solid colour for the movie suit would be great.

Then others chimed in to say the same - they like / mean dark blue (they could've saved bandwidth & just said they agreed with me ).

Then off you go on a tangent nobody else started.

I would prefer the dark blue and grey color scheme, but I'm happy with black and grey. That still makes this the most comic outfit he has worn on film. Can't wait to see an official color photo of this one. Also excited to see Kal's new look and Gadot in her full Wonder Woman costume.

1) Batman usually is in the city, not in natural environments. If he starts to adapt his suit to terrain I might actually like to see that. 2) pure black doesn't work as camo because it accentuates your physical silhouette, but my point here is the cape as a use of concealment. If a really dark blue actually works better I'm fine with that. But 3) if you take the blue from that miller picture and literally make a costumed cape that light blue I don't buy how that's in anyway feasible. I don't think I'll buy seeing that in a real world setting.

Black and grey, blue and grey, black bat, bat on yellow oval, gold belt, yellow belt, long ears, short ears, long cape, short cape, rubber, fabric, I don't care. As long as it looks good, I'm cool.

I think this suit, from what we've seen, looks fantastic. I love that they embraced the comic style translated for cinema. If it was blue and grey, like those manips/photoshops, that would have been great. Black and grey? That's fantastic too.

Yeah they said they will be tweaking the costume. My assumption is they will be making it look more like his new 52 look. Possible adding the red trim and belt. I doubt they add the mandarin collar.

I like the look too. I would not be opposed to them adopting this look. But when they say they plan on tweaking it, I imagine they want to bring it more in line with this look.

Looks okay, my biggest gripe will be if they change it and don't explain why and where the new suit came from. Especially considering the original suit was traditional wear from his home planet and basically the last connection he has to his real parents.

Also don't like the fact it looks armoured, why would superman of all people need armour. If they just add the belt and adjust some small things I can live with that without an explanation in the film.

@Darth I've never liked the red undies for superman so I'm glad they lost that, but I'd love the red belt and 52 line work replacing the imo a little bit unsuperman-y line work on the man of steel suit. I hope they keep the fabric though. Love how it actually has a metallic shine to it.

@Ultron-7 There's a genuine question where he would get more suits from. The scout ship he got it from in MoS is almost completely sucked into the singularity.

I bet there's more than one ship on earth... Or he'd have to ditch the kryptonian fabric altogether and we'll actually start to see his suit tear up, which I would kinda like to see I think.
