Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Do you work outside the home? I work for a huge Corp and every dept was **** talking affleck after the announcement. Now this was based on him being a 'bale replacement', and honestly most of the people probably have no idea which movies are Marvel or DC or that there's even a difference. It's a little misanthropic to assume anyone criticizing things that live up to your standard automatically have ulterior motives.

I'll be honest, I didn't even know people talked about this **** outside of the Internet and comic book shops. I didn't know it even mattered that much to the general public.:lol With that in mind, I was pretty much referring to this forum, exclusively, as I said to DiFabio. As for criticism, I totally get that some people have issues with certain things, but, I do think there's some favoritism at play when I look at certain threads in this section.

And if there is? So what? Get some air and let people have their opinions. Why turn this into a psych session about why people like or dislike something? Does it matter if someone is critical of Gadot because they hate her as an actress or they hate DC in general? If that's what youre saying, who applies the standard of who gets to say they don't like something? You?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That's fair, I suppose. As far as Gadot goes, though, what matters to me is the fact that people are basically body shaming the girl. Critiquing her abilities as an actress is one thing, but something about calling her out for not having a big enough bust doesn't sit right with me. This whole "real women have curves" thing has seemingly evolved from a campaign against the traditional "Hollywood" standards of beauty, into an attack on anyone who happens to have a different body type.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I still don't get why they want to go with a tired/beaten down batman who may be a little plus sized like TDKRs version if this is not an adaption of TDKR.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Fatasses? What is this? I dont even.....

I guess they'll pull more from the book than I'm expecting by giving Batman a special suit to fight Superman face to face with.

I hope Afflecks not the size I'm thinking he may be based of the released pic...

Gal Gadots enough to deal with

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

oh... Goyer.... Google his name and the first 2 pages are nothing but news about what he said today :lol:lol

And about Goyer being a tool.....

What size issues? Between the bat suit shot and the leaving the gym shots I think he's supposed to be in great shape, not broken down.

:lol He looked a little wide to me in the released pic but its probably just the angle the pic was taken. I thought this version of him was supposed to be older, experienced, tired and weary?

I think they should save that for Clint and a Batman Beyond movie.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Watching FF6 and I gotta say, I think Gadot looks a lot like the really old school WW, the one you see holding a spear in a lot of pics. I really am most curious about what design Snyder is going to go with. I could see him doing the skirt and then using the armored arms look to make her look buff as WW and add to her presence. She has the height and that little bit of widening of the shoulders would do wonders on someone her size.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah, it's so edgy and original. I love how the title is promoting a sequel and doesn't resort to a cliched title. It's quite brilliant actually, up there with "Transformers: Dark of the Moon".
It's not edgy nor original in the slightest though, not even brilliant, but it does serve a purpose, it's just practical, it's not bad when you see the domains they had registered for this or only Batman vs Superman, it's certainly not worse than "Dark World".

People are making too big of a fuzz about a subtitle, it's just a subtitle.

Word is that Adrien Brody want the part of the Joker.... I have to say, it's not too bad of a choice, what other options do you have in mind?

Personally Crispin Glover or Vincent Cassel would be good jokers IMO, Defoe could be good but he is too much of an obvious and uninspired choice for me.
