Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Because it's thicker, denser, and more epic this way.
Sigh.

You could go for the literal meaning of the words, which is what he obviously meant, but no.

At least he still has no S curl, so not Superman :lol

It is Superman, make no mistake.

Although I bet they'll wait until his hair is a bit messy from a fight or something to give him the curl.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Glad Snyder and Co. stuck to this quote for Superman's costume. I personally loved the "Man of Steel" suit and glad to see it returns with minor tweaks! Cavill does look buffer, but I've seen various shots where his size his debatable even for Man of Steel. This could also be a Photoshop-fluffed photo as well. Either way, he looks awesome. I like that the "gauntlets" are gone and the designs are integrated more into the suit sleeves. I honestly preferred the round buckle but the square one with the "S" shield on it looks cool too.

Awesome suit...we're 2 for 2 so far. Now to see Wonder Woman!!!

Yeah, round buckle was better for me too, at least they appear to have given him a lighter blue, I wish the cape was lighter too, other than that, he looks twice as good as in MoS

Oh don't be upset by our posts. Remember I actually like MoS, I just recognize that it really opened itself up to ridicule in a number of areas. If it makes you feel any better you know none of us are going to miss seeing BvS on the big screen (its freaking Batman versus Superman for crying out loud) and I'm sure its box office will easily surpass that of Cap 3 in 2016.

So he will make the film out of a thicker and denser material? And it will be a long poem on the order of Homer's works? If so, then I take back anything negative I've said about the guy, and wish him the best of luck in his insane gamble.

Thanks for comforting me :lol it doesn't make me upset, rather tired and bored a bit, that's what usually happens when you read the same old and predictable hyperboles and "jokes" in every single page of this thread.

I have to recognize Snyder walked right into that one with his choice of words, even if he meant them literally, as soon as I read the interview I knew the kind of comments I should expect in this thread from the usual people, that goes to show how bad the comedy is around here :lol

Thicker and denser don't imply physical material, and epic doesn't have to be a poem anymore or have anything to do with Homer at all, rather seems you googled those.

No problem. Bring it on in now.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Those are the literal, original definitions. If I needed Google to tell me that then I. . .well, would probably be Zack Snyder.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I think he meant this type of thick and dense

You should be happy that I don't recognize this character as the superhero I love.
That way I will not complain about the movie :lol :1-1:

I hope this movie bombs and the rights go back to Marvel.

Supposedly there was an issue years ago where Captain Marvel had to have new comics in order for DC to hold onto his rights. I wouldn't think the new proposed movie would have much to do with that issue, but maybe it does?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Come to Camden, NJ. :lol Go Google Detroit.

Hell, you are only a plane ride from Rome aren't you?

Honestly it isn't hard to imagine in the correct context. Gotham built up it's city until around 1930 when the depression hit. Since then the mafia is in control and most infrastructure, bridges etc, don't get a budget in the annual mafia meet and greet.

You still get a few new buildings courtesy of Wayne Ent. or Sionis Steel for the super rich or big corporations but for the most part it's still a decaying reminder of how long the city has been bankrupt and hopeless.
No.
Your missing my point I think.

Gotham is a fantasy city. A city which does not exist in out reality. A mix of futuristic and gothic architecture. Industrial design meets Art Deco, Gothic meets futuristic. Huge stone statues looking down on dark canyons. As envisioned by Burton and even Nolan to a degree in BB. And from the comic books of course, this poster suggests a return to that look.

Metropolis in MOS was completely real world, our reality.

Anyway, doesn't matter. More fantasy based the better for my liking.
