Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

You ask me, the more they diverge from the precedents set by Man of Steel, the better. Bring on new building designs, new back stories, new personalities, new motivations, etc.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

@Deckard 1900's NYC? That's spot on, mix in some Victorian architecture as well though. And that's just my point, MOS was contemporary 2013 USA.
So was the Metropolis we saw in the film last year, just a plane ride away from Burton/Furst's Gotham? I think not. :lol.

Come to Camden, NJ. :lol Go Google Detroit.

Hell, you are only a plane ride from Rome aren't you?

Honestly it isn't hard to imagine in the correct context. Gotham built up it's city until around 1930 when the depression hit. Since then the mafia is in control and most infrastructure, bridges etc, don't get a budget in the annual mafia meet and greet.

You still get a few new buildings courtesy of Wayne Ent. or Sionis Steel for the super rich or big corporations but for the most part it's still a decaying reminder of how long the city has been bankrupt and hopeless.

Here's a cool suit comparison picture of the two suits:

Maybe his face can be half burned in a battle revealing a terrifying truth about the man who destroyed half of Metropolis.

Holy ****, he's like twice as big as in MoS, plus, a brighter blue  he looks badass!

Aaaaand the last couple of pages are vomit inducing....

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

There's a small S symbol added to the belt section too.

At least he embraces his influences, Khev. I wonder if he'll start CG'ing out their feet at some point. In terms of the U.S., New Orleans as a whole has a very different vibe than most other cities, seeming more classically European. But if you look at an outline of the city skyline I'm not sure if you would notice anything so drastic.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

The square "buckle" seems off to me. The suit is very fluid in its design and the corners on the buckle really stand out.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Glad Snyder and Co. stuck to this quote for Superman's costume. I personally loved the "Man of Steel" suit and glad to see it returns with minor tweaks! Cavill does look buffer, but I've seen various shots where his size is debatable even for Man of Steel. This could also be a Photoshop-fluffed photo as well. Either way, he looks awesome. I like that the "gauntlets" are gone and the designs are integrated more into the suit sleeves. I honestly preferred the round buckle but the square one with the "S" shield on it looks cool too.

Awesome suit...we're 2 for 2 so far. Now to see Wonder Woman!!!
