Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I've no doubt he's juicing, in addition to the extra padding in the suit. Same goes for Pratt, Jackman, Evans, Hemsworth, Affleck, etc. But it's not like they're professional athletes, so no biggie.

No idea bout affleck, but Evans and Hemsworth looks natty/ or at least attainable through natty way. The Rock, Stallone is hardcore juicer. cavill looks like he's doing some mild stuff too, he's got that 3D looking delts.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Lol. I don't know if they are on the juice or not. But all I can say is the unobtainable for the every day schmoe is different than the unobtainable for people that make millions. They don't worry about what to eat, or drink, or what time to eat, or what weights to lift.

I don't care how rich you are, money can't alter the laws of nature. That much muscle, that fast, doesn't happen naturally.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Meh, as long as they are doing what they must to look and act the part. Even juicing you still have to work hard.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I don't think he's juicing up, a year is plenty of time.

But if he is, it's really irrelevant, like someone said, they're not athletes so it doesn't matter.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

It's very different, maybe the concept is the same but clearly the technique is much better since the 90's.

I mean, I believe Cavill is that big in the chest and back area, he's got huge pecs and back, it's no stretch that he got a little bigger, I see the padding in a bit of the arms and abs, since you can't get striations and lines through fabric the way it looks like that, but it's by no means comparable to the 90's batsuits at all, those were ALL rubber muscles, while MoS' doesn't look like rubber to begin with, and I believe it's not made of rubber, and the padding and sculpting (as far as I know) it's minimum only to enhance Henry's physique and what you see is mostly Henry's body.

Do I believe there's padding and sculpting? Absolutely, but I believe about 80 or 90 percent of what we see is Cavill himself, including the size and the pecs.

The entire MOS costume was solid sculpted rubber, it was so thick it almost stood up on its own. The lower arms were the only areas not sculpted with musculature. It weighed a tonne. It was like a big floppy wetsuit.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Yeah people think when you take steroids you automatically get buff. It doesn't work that way If anything people juicing have to work harder and diet better to achieve that about of muscle so quickly

That is completely inaccurate, the MoS was only very slightly padded.

"So thick it almost stood up on it's own" Lol no.

Yup, if they don't their body gets messed up pretty bad.

It also depends on what you take also.

You don't gain 30 pounds of muscle within a year without enhancement, any novice bodybuilder will tell you that. HGH is the go to drug of choice for Hollywood. It works wonders...

Either the trainer is not telling the truth about the actual poundage of muscle added, or there was "help".

Erm.. I saw the thing being made and had it (with help from an FX tech) in my hands.
The entire six pack/chest/shoulders was sculpted. As well as most of the rest of the suit. It was created using fabric vacuformed onto silicone sculpted sections.

Is that what they're saying he gained? Well if that's the case I stand corrected, I know you can bulk like 2 pounds a month, so 30 pounds is crazy.

But, does it really look like 30 pounds from MoS to BvS?

Well, awesome for you I wish I held it too.

But so thick it stands on it's own still sounds like a huge exaggeration, and comparing it to the Burton suit is laughable.

Like I said, some parts are obviously sculpted to mark the striations and cuts you can't get from just putting on the fabric suit only, but my guess is that it's either very thin layers of sculpture or it's very localized.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Pics or it didn't happen. :lecture

Nah, there were no pics allowed. But I did post info here, on the suit, the black suit and Zod's appearance a good year or so before the movie came out.
I was working on another project at the same time in the same FX house in LA.
I was repped by the same company as Snyder at the time.

Anyway, it was heavy sculpted rubber, covered by fabric. Cast on Cavils body.
To be honest I'm surprised anyone would even doubt that as it completely looks sculpted to my eye.
The same company did Raimi Spider suits as I recall, and get were created in exactly the same manner.
Screen printed fabric (gloss detailing) over a rubber suit (just the chest and abs/groin) with Spidey. Then silicone pieces glued ontop (webbing on Spidey, Kryptonian swirls and wrist detailing on MOS).

:lol

No, the article is saying that he gained 30 pounds when he got the role to play MoS. He was already in shape then, just need to bulk up.

Which kinda makes it harder, as the first year of BB, you gained quite a lot. But on the second on third year, gaining 10lbs per year of pure muscle is considered rare. That's why 30lbs a year is impossible without any juice.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

It's just that the sculpture is too damn good, and if you put fabric on top of it, then it looks even more natural.

But, Cavill's physique is already impressive, so I imagine the sculpt was only to give a little more edge to the muscles, and I imagined it would be vacuumed to stick to the muscles.
