Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

No, the article is saying that he gained 30 pounds when he got the role to play MoS. He was already in shape then, just need to bulk up.

Which kinda makes it harder, as the first year of BB, you gained quite a lot. But on the second on third year, gaining 10lbs per year of pure muscle is considered rare. That's why 30lbs a year is impossible without any juice.

Hey, Kryptonian physiology :dunno

:lol

Then juices it is, I'm guessing Bale did the same for Batman Begins right?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Nah, there were no pics allowed. But I did post info here, on the suit, the black suit and Zod's appearance a good year or so before the movie came out.
I was working on another project at the same time in the same FX house in LA.
I was repped by the same company as Snyder at the time.

Anyway, it was heavy sculpted rubber, covered by fabric. Cast on Cavils body.
To be honest I'm surprised anyone would even doubt that as it completely looks sculpted to my eye.
The same company did Raimi Spider suits as I recall, and get were created in exactly the same manner.
Screen printed fabric (gloss detailing) over a rubber suit (just the chest and abs/groin) with Spidey. Then silicone pieces glued ontop (webbing on Spidey, Kryptonian swirls and wrist detailing on MOS).

:lol

So you work on FX? That must be the coolest job man.

Come to Camden, NJ. :lol Go Google Detroit.

Hell, you are only a plane ride from Rome aren't you?

Honestly it isn't hard to imagine in the correct context. Gotham built up it's city until around 1930 when the depression hit. Since then the mafia is in control and most infrastructure, bridges etc, don't get a budget in the annual mafia meet and greet.

You still get a few new buildings courtesy of Wayne Ent. or Sionis Steel for the super rich or big corporations but for the most part it's still a decaying reminder of how long the city has been bankrupt and hopeless.

Are you from there?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I've noticed something, as I've followed this movie, more and more: people like to play dumb when it suits their agenda. The "Dawn of Justice" subtitle, for instance. Someone mentioned how it's not much different from the "The First Avenger" subtitle that Captain America had, and someone said that it makes no sense in the context of the Man of Steel universe, like TFA made sense in the context of the MCU, with "The Avengers Initiative" already being referenced. To that I say, ********. Bull-****ing-****. You want context? Here's your context: it's a Superman/Batman movie. You put the words "Superman," "Batman," and "Justice" together in a sentence and, if you're excited, you damn well understand the context of it. The Justice League is literally the single, most prominent connection between Superman and Batman. I love the people who don't like "Dawn of Justice" and say that the subtitle should be "World's Finest." Yes, because the general public is totally going to associate those two characters being together with a team-up book from the 1940's. Point is: you want context for "Dawn of Justice?" Your context is the fact that people got excited for a movie with both Batman and Superman in it, at all.

"Dawn of Justice League" makes no sense. Even less than Dawn of Justice. At least "Dawn of Justice" has a decent ring to it, but "Dawn of Justice League" sounds like the title Bizarro would come up with. Point is: don't play dumb. If you're excited about Batman v. Superman, you know what the Justice League is. If you know what the Justice League is, you can understand the significance of Dawn of Justice. Not everything needs to be spelled out, when you put "Justice" in the same line as "Batman" and "Superman," you either know "oh, that's 'Justice League' they're talking about" and accept it, you're just acting dumb because you want something to ***** about, or, you're just genuinely that stupid and it's a wonder you can actually see a movie as anything more than "moving pictures."

I would have preferred WF a while back too, but DoW has grown on me, it sounds really badass, the only thing I don't like is the damn "V", just put a "VS" damn it :lol

Everything in the title I like, just that damn V.

What I thought was dumb were the analogies and references to "Dawn of the planet of the apes" for lols :dunno... I never saw anybody complain or compare "Age of Ultron" with "Age of Extinction" or how they changed "Age of apocalypse" for just "Apocalypse". I'm telling you, DC fans are dbags :lol

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

Here's a slightly retouched pic, I didn't do anything other than increasing the saturation and brightness just a teeny tiny bit more, so maybe if the film isn't as desaturated as MoS and the original pic is edited, the suit could end up looking like this in the movie, maybe during the day, and it looks so gorgeous.

Aw man! That would be incredible! Great job!

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

I don't see Snyder changing his style.
The way that his wet hair is catching the light makes his temples look gray and gives him a Kingdom Come vibe to my eye.

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

NYC Friend of mine spotted this over his way. Filming some scenes over there in New York right now I guess?

Re: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

https://badassdigest.com/2014/07/10/will-doomsday-be-in-batman-v-superman/

I've come to the conclusion that the 152 page Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice* script that's going around is in fact a fake. A very good fake, but I think it's a fake anyway. I don't know if the quality of this fake script speaks to the talent of the faker or the sad state of high level Hollywood script writing, but this thing seemed pretty real - and maybe it even contains real elements. By accident, of course.

In the fake script Lex Luthor creates a monster called The Ultimate... aka Doomsday. In the end Superman is killed battling The Ultimate, they build the Superman statue, everybody's sad, we see the Green Lantern Corps getting worried because they had hoped Superman would stand with them against the coming threat of Darkseid. See you in Justice League!

But what if Doomsday really is in the movie? According to Bleeding Cool there are character designs for the monster that kills Superman in the comics, and their sources have seen the designs. The site really hedges their bets in a way I appreciate (I've done similar):

Now, of course, much can change in the production process. This may be used purely for flashback purposes on the screen, looking at the life (and death) of Superman. It may be purely for promotional efforts to accompany the film. Or it may not make it to the final cut.

Wouldn't it be funny if this fake script was actually very similar to the real thing? What if the line between fanfic and movies were just basically erased? As above, so below.

* the actual title of the movie
