Man, if it's fake, I'd like to get my hand on this script!

..or they just try too hard, & the whole thing implodes like a tornado hurled into the Phantom Zone.
Doomsday?! Man, talk about blowing your wad too soon.
......scattering dildo-shaped imprisonment pods all over the place.
The sad thing about this series is that it's rushed, I think they had a promising start with Man of Steel regardless of how the masses felt about it. DC's trying to play catch up with Marvel and that'll be it's downfall if it keeps going the way it is! Marvel had around four years of build up, four years of films that set the tone and introduced the characters that would be seen in The Avengers and DC is trying to do that in two films.
I still stand by the fact that DC doesn't need the buildup Marvel does. A Pygmie from New Guinea would know who Batman and Superman are, Wonder Woman's had a large enough impact on our pop culture that people will recognize her, and there's really not much else you need to worry about. Flash runs fast, Green Lantern's got an intergalactic box af crayons on his fist, Aquaman's King of the Ocean, and Martian Manhunter's basically a green, shapeshifting Superman.
I'm not sure that's the roster they would use, but the point stands. People know about the Justice League; the only thing Iron Man had going for him, prior to 2008, was a ****** cartoon in the 90's. I think DC has the right idea, though. Justice League shouldn't be a culmination of individual stories, it should be the spring board. Get people to like The Flash, make them look at Aquaman and say "wow, I thought he was lame, but that was actually pretty badass. I hope he gets his own movie!" Give them just a taste, and they'll come back for more.
And Darkseid will be the JL villain so after those two their two biggest threats are gone. Not huge on DC but I can't think of any other bigger villains threat wise??
I'm a fan.. I really am - of the CHARACTERS that is.
This series? I'm enjoying putting crap on it so far, but ultimately I'm rooting for it.
I personally think DC's animated department has by far given us the best, most thoughtful, and fulfilling non-print incarnations of comic characters in any medium. Marvel Studios and the best of the Fox and Sony films are a distant second. B:TAS, Mask of the Phantasm, Superman:TAS, JL, JLU, Brave and the Bold, Young Justice, and 8/10 of their new animated features are all pretty brilliant in their way. It's WB's movie division that sucks apart from Nolan.Everybody likes to give DC crap in amounts they don't deserve.
You should have been here a month or two ago.
Also, Marvel's way isn't the only way, I don't see why it's mandatory to have introductory movies for each character, DC is obviously not trying to do that, more than half of the possible JL roster is getting their solo movies after JL.

I guess it just seems a bit much at this point, I caught wind of a Batman/Superman film and was elated, yes, even with the decision of casting the great and powerful Ben Affleck; but then they added Wonder Woman and while she's no doubt important to the universe, I questioned adding another hero to the roster, then I hear they've cast Cyborg and Aquaman.
Marvel has their way of doing things and DC has theirs, and that's fine, I just wish the big two had an outing that was more focused on them.
(But then again, the film has yet to be released and could be a cinematic masterpiece, so who knows!)

It may not be the only way if this somehow ends up being a great film. The point is though that they're taking a gamble out of impatience to make that Avengers money as soon as possible. And they'll get that money if the film is even half decent. But many will still be left to wonder if could it have been better and more impactful had they gone the Marvel route.
Well we'll see.
Well, I believe it's been confirmed WW will be just a cameo, and Cyborg/Aquaman are rumors and only cameos too.
Also, I think people don't understand how many different characters appear in comic book stories, just in a Batman solo story you can see Superman and Wonder Woman make appearances, Superman/Batman public enemies has a **** ton of characters I kid you not.
And people think ASM2 was "crowded" regardless, AMSM2 had many problems but I don't think the amount of characters was one of them.
