OMG.....I JUST WON AN AUCTION. I lost control.

It was actually one of the things I really wanted....it is the Pilot Rec Room knife display with 5 alien looking knives that the announcer thought might have belonged to the different colonies. They are real cool looking....wish I could show a photo but I can't seem to save it. Definitely one of the more unique items they sold. Each knife is VERY unique.

Anyway.....I can't believe I bid. Anyway, if anyone was watching it's lot #642.

The final 5 have been around for 2000 years, but obviously haven't been on any resurrection ship. So are they resurrected each generation? From where? They have to grow older too - so at what age are they resurrected? In that interview Moore said they didn't even have the "Final 5" plot during season 3, when Ellen died - so it seems they'll have to address these issues if they're bringing her back.

Yea, don't know if it was coincidence or not, but Saul and Ellen seem to be the same age they are on the show as they were when Earth was nuked (don't know if that was for the ease of filming the shots or not). But the question I want to know, is if Earth was settled by cylons, there have to be more than 12 models, because there weren't any duplicates running around during the flashback.

I wonder what this means for prop replica companies? Like Quantum Mechanix which has the license for BSG prop replicas, so far they've only done dog tags, the Cylon Raider, and some posters, but now all of the good props are being sold off.

But hey, I think I'd buy a BSG scaled replica, or a Viper.

Well, replicas are always going to be cheaper than the real thing. And the real good stuff I'd imagine is staying with the cast and crew. It's not like they're going to auction off Adama's uniform, I'd figure it's either with Eddie Olmos in RDM's closet.

Actually if you look at the thread about the auction in general, you'll see that Adama's uniforms were auctioned off. Both his casual and dress.

In fact this auction was almost all "good stuff" except for the weapons. I'm betting that's what people took.

There are plenty of pictures out there now - the catalog for the auction is a great source book. No company will have problems making replicas for sale.

A thought that a few friends & I are throwing around is that they actually haven't been around for 2000 years, but that the resurrection ship from Razor maybe found Earth 40ish years back and samples the DNA from the bones like the ones they found on the beach.

Cause remember, it had the old school Centurions on it and if you remember from the new episode, even the regular skinjob Cylons didn't recognize that model of Centurion on the beach.

Or maybe that Resurrection ship from Razor is the one from Earth. And maybe it held off on making them until something triggered them to make the Final 5.

So, were the Cylons on Earth there with Humans at the same time. We were thinking also that maybe a splinter group of super-religious human started the war against the Cylons cause they could replicate themselves and the Human couldn't, so they got angry. And they pretty much killed eachother off and only a few escaped.

And we figured that Starbuck was made into a Cylon by the same Resurrection ship.

^^^^ who know!!!! This last half of the seaon better explain some ^^^^, cause I almost hated this episode cause it got all Lost on us!!!! But it's BSG and how can you hate BSG??!!

Cause if you hate BSG, then you like to murder bunnies and we all know what kind of people murder bunnies!!!!

The bidding ended at $1400 and I bid $1500 but must have just missed it by a second because when I clicked the bid button the auctioneer said sold and it didn't take my bid. Thankfull I missed it becase I really shouldn't spend $1500 for a phone prop. I wonder if Joss Whedon got one.

Yeah when I clicked on the bid button, it took a couple seconds before it showed up.......didn't think I would make it in time.....then a very small part of me was hoping someone would outbid me because I was wondering what the frak I was doing! You get such a rush during an auction.....I thought I was going to pass out there for a minute.

It didn't sell, went up to $30,000 which was below the reserve. Neither did any of the full-sized ship props. The Mark VII Viper got up to $20,000 and the Cylon Raider got up to $17,500

Obviously, the empty spot next to Tigh belongs to Ellen now. The thing burning in front of Roslin is the Book of Pythia. I'm not too up to speed on my religion but, can you infer that Six represents "second coming" kind of like Jesus?? There are rumors that Six's baby will be Ellen reincarnated/resurrected.

That's interesting - maybe the final 5 get "resurrected" by being born to a skinjob? Perhaps they're all hybrids? So Hera is really Tori? And maybe Tyrel's kid is also him?

Well, we have 2 human/cylon babies and 1 cylon/cylon baby. Wonder what that means.

I like that the old Cylons (The Final 5 Earth versions) seem extremely human compared with the new skinjob Cylons. If you read my posts above, you'll see my theory on it all.

The 13th tribe being Cylon, that was a shocker. Really want to know all about that.

When Ellen first showed up thought she was a cylon but then dismissed it fairly quickly. Tigh killed his wife for working with the cylons when he and she were both cylon, greek tragedy or what.

Really looking forward to more, shame about Dee though she was cute.

Someone at RPF got a CIC phone for like $100 on ebay. Supposedly they will be auctioning more stuff each week.
