The final 5 have been around for 2000 years, but obviously haven't been on any resurrection ship. So are they resurrected each generation? From where? They have to grow older too - so at what age are they resurrected? In that interview Moore said they didn't even have the "Final 5" plot during season 3, when Ellen died - so it seems they'll have to address these issues if they're bringing her back.

I'm rewatching season 1 and I have to say that for not knowing who the final 5 were, they showed great foresight. I had forgotten that Gaius tests Ellen to see if she's a cylon or human......Caprica 6 asks him what the results were and he smiles and says he will never tell.

I loved this past fridays ep! man, this show does not play around and that's what I love about it. Edward James Almos can act his ass off! When he got drunk and wanted to shoot himself I was amazed at the performance.

I finally got a chance to watch it this morning. Frak! What a great episode! I'm really looking forward to see how everything pans out now that we know who the final Cylon is. And Starbuck?...

Only 9 episodes left. :monkey2

I'm just now getting over the shock of Friday's episode, I was so sad to see Dualla do that to herself after she looked so happy with Lee. She was one of my favorite characters on the show and she was sooooo beautiful. :monkey2

The discovery of the Centurion on earth was pretty cool too, you have to wonder if the whole earth was inhabited by Cylons.

Starbuck finding her charred body in the wreckage of her Viper was freaky as hell too, the look on Leoben's face was priceless when he ran away from her. :lol

I can't wait to get further into the season to get more answers and to see if Ellen really does come back.

There were a lot of great performances in this episode. I loved that scene with Leoben and Starbuck to. The actor (I'm not sure of his name) who plays Leoben did a great job. He was also really good on Californication.
I really like the dude that plays Leoben (Callum Keith Rennie), he is awesome on BSG and he was great on Californication. He and David Duchovny must be friends or something, 'cause he was also in the new X-Files movie with him.

I didn't think Dee's suicide was bad writing at all. As I was watching the episode I said to my wife... "Watch someone kill themselves... probably Dee because she was so devastated once she saw the jacks."

She broke down, and as someone who has known people who have committed suicide...and someone who has almost been there myself.. I know what goes on with someone mentally. The characters in the story were holding on to that last gleaming hope that Earth would be their home. Once that hope was stripped away, sorrow would come rushing in...along with rage for some.

Dee had her hopes crushed at a time when she really didn't need it to happen. Her ex husband is gone from her life, and still in love with another woman in a way. He's left the military as well, further distancing himself from her. The support system she created for herself (the military) was crumbling around her as people fell into despair. And to find those things on the beach... that was the last straw. It reminded her of home, of all that she lost. And that children had died right there on that beach just like they had on the 13 colonies. It was too much for her to bear.

I could see the snap, right after she returned on the Raptor she acted normal...even happier than normal. Just saying goodbye to her life and trying to have that last happy moment before she died. It was shockingly realistic to me, and made sense for her character. It was a shock, but suicide always is. The people you think would kill themselves aren't always the ones who do. Even the most stable people can go off the deep end and give up.
Very well said, I'm sure that is exactly how she felt, to lose all hope. :monkey2

Although I don't really think the webisodes where spectacular by any means, I was glad they showed them before the new episode since I hadn't seen them.

Gotta remember, Moore said that the final 5 are Fundamentally different from the Skinjobs that the Galactica crew know. That might have been a red herring back when it aired. Since the final 5 were built 2000 years ago, they might not even test positive on Baltar's detector.

What I hope they answer is what was up with Baltar seemingly lifted up by Caprica Six during the confrontation with the military.

They were able to test the bones on earth and found out they were Cylon, so they should have been able to test the Final Five correctly.

They didn't actually say what test they ran on the bones on Earth to determine that they are cylons, but you're probably right.

I thought of that too....I just thought it was great that he didn't answer (knowing what we know now)....so whether or not she showed positive we will never know.....

Oh yeah, LOTS of questions about Baltar need answering. I want to know what his deal is... and he is also my favorite character.. so the more knowledge the better. :D

Yea, like how the frak can he talk to a six in his head and how the frak the six can talk with a baltar in her head.

Here's what Kandyse McClure (Dualla) had to say about her character being killed off.

Ummmm, how do I be politically correct about this? They didn't quite ... I got a first inkling when there were contract renegotiations, and there were only 13 [episodes] on the table. So I got kind of a clue then, because I was sure there'd be more than 13 episodes in the last season. And even then it was a bit vague. [Later,] I read the script in the hair and makeup trailer, and then very soon afterward I got a call from [executive producer] Ron Moore. He said lovely things. "This is the final season, and we're bringing a lot of storylines to their close," and this was part of a bigger plan they had for where the storyline was going. They said they'd enjoyed my work and it had nothing to do with that... It makes me sad, still, that I wouldn't be there for the final episodes, that I wouldn't get to complete the journey with everyone that I'd started it with. I ended up missing the wrap party as well, which was kind of the last nail in the coffin for me. But it was a really great ride, and I'm still in contact with all these people. We're still very much connected, and I believe we will be for years to come. So that's certainly a long-lasting blessing of being on the show. But it was hard that she wouldn't be there to say goodbye, and that I wouldn't be there to say goodbye.

Just watched it... I have a had hard time believing the XO's slut wife is the final cylon.

Yeah...I really did not see that one coming. :lol :lol It will be interesting to see what happens when they bring her back.......though I am curious where she will be resurrected and how. And how's she's going to react when she finds out that Saul got Six pregnant.

I can't believe Kandyse McClure found out her character was being killed off by reading the script while in hair and makeup. Talk about a crappy way of getting a pink slip.

I'll miss her. :(
