I thought he did ok in Dare Devil, rewatching it recently, the fights in Dare Devil were actually better than in any of the Batman films.. now granted they probably used a stunt double in all the shots but who's to say they can't do that for this one =)

i liked daredevil too. the fanboys hated it!!! but apart from that, i don't think affleck will be a good batman. i feel the character deserves someone who has a bit of range in his acting abilities. we know bale and keaton nailed it. kilmer and clooney were meh. i think everyone watching will think affleck first before they believe batman is on the screen.

I think the biggest problem I have is that Afflect doesn't have the "face" of Batman. I can't put my finger on it, but he just doesn't have the "spark."

That poster looks kinda like the BTAS opening :lol

The toddler tantrum campaign thus far has amounted to this:

He wasn't bad in it at all, the script was what it was

I watched it the other night and was surprised how many stars were in it. BA wasn't that terrible I agree, I think it was the script as well. I can actually kind of picture him as Batman...he's got the body, and his voice was okay, but like someone else said BA is lacking something. He's such a pretty boy, I just can't see him as dark and brooding
without "overacting."
I don't think the other major actors in Daredevil received as much scrutiny as BA has
have they?

I'll give Affleck a chance. He is a pretty solid actor, has experience in the superhero role and is probably one of the more knowledgeable actors in Hollywood when it comes to superheroes (one of his best buds is Kevin Smith for crying out loud). Do I see him as Batman? Ehhh not really...but I'll reserve judgement once photos and trailers start showing up.

It also looks like he'll commit for the long run and that's good as well since that's what WB and DC are looking for. Like it's been mentioned, this gives Affleck the chance to do his small time, Oscar-worthy flicks while in the meantime maintaining a steady blockbuster income from being Batman. Good for Ben and his family!

Now show us you can be Batman! :rock

He's not grizzled enough I agree. He might be good, but he'll probably just take me out of it. I can't see him looking very good with the cowl and dat chin.

There's nothing anyone can do about it and it's not like movie goers are ever a part of the decision making. There's no poll. We never will be. We get who they give us. That's it.

The suits at Warner have got to be biting their nails over all of the Batlash. You'd think they'd have learned after Batman & Robin was a franchise stopper. If the fans don't approve of him as Batman, you can forget about the merchandising selling. Batman & Robin proved that.

The hilarious thing, is that the guy has time to prep himself for the role - down to the letter if need be.. yet he's being lynched preemptively. It's a hyperbole tornado with no end. :lol
