I think we've already seen his cards as a superhero.

Well I never thought that this would make a good Captain America.

Obviously I was wrong. I'm playing the "wait and see" game from here on out, at least as far as Affleck is concerned.

You'd think they'd have learned after Batman & Robin was a franchise stopper. If the fans don't approve of him as Batman, you can forget about the merchandising selling. Batman & Robin proved that.

There was a whole lot more wrong with Batman & Robin than George Clooney. He could have been a good Batman with better material.

Also, no one approved of Michael Keaton before they actually seen Batman in '89.

I think Affleck will do fine. He's matured as an actor. He's got the look for Bruce Wayne and dat chin will look great in the cowl.

Keep telling yourself that. This isn't Keaton. Has NOTHING to do with giviing him a chance. He just sucks PERIOD.

We can blame DD's script and director sure, but we don't really know how he'll stack up until he's in the bat suit like you said. I just hope he isn't as bland as he was in DD.

The thing alot of basement dwellers seem to miss is that the backlash on this isn't limited to the "fanboi" community like it usually is for casting.

People at work who know nothing about comics are making fun of the casting. Mind you, their logic may not make sense, (ie; comments such as he doesn't look much like Bale) but thats Joe Public for you. Its not the nerd community they're going to have to sell on this, its Mr and Mrs casual consumer, whether their opinion is relevant to message board n3rds or not. :lol

Well damn... I guess Affleck needs to die somehow after he's done filming so the movie can be a huge success at the box office.

It would probably help.

But, it can swing either way;its not like the public embracing someones superhero role is always 100% guaranteed success either...just ask Ryan Reynolds. :lol

I still think Reynolds would be a good GL. It's not his fault the screenplay was horrible and the villain was retarded. :lol

The sad thing about GL is... the ONLY thing I looked forward to was a sequel with him and Sinestro going at it, too bad the entire movie proved to be an *** pustule incapable of generating a sequel.
