Best 12" Capt. Jack Sparrow?

Well, thanks for the pics and he definitely doesn't look as much like Little Stevie, unfortunately he looks more like Judd Nelson from Breakfast Club.

Yeah your right. The Medicom one is the best at the moment. All im worried about now is the scale...Hopefully HT makes one!

i like both of my Sovereign Studio Jacks better than the Medicom, but the Medi is pretty darn close. in fact, if it had "real" hair and a cloth bandana i'd probably pick it over the Sovereign Jack. the sculpt and costuming are great.

yeah, that's Kojun's Jack, and while he's one of the best customizers on the planet, i really have no idea what he was thinking w/ that Jack. it's like he left it unfinished. no dreads, or sail spike thingy, no buttons, ect. all i can think is that his real objective was to make the skeleton version (which rocks!) and just made this one to acompany it.

Mojo did a hell of a job w/ that Zizzle repaint!

the thing i'm REALLY curious about is how Medicom is gonna do the boots on theirs. a full pleather slip on boot? all hard platic scupted to the body?

Haven't checked the retailers yet today JS, but if you don't want to go the ebay route you can always check to order from MR directly at retail. Granted thats $149 but if the prices are truly rising that much on ebay it may be a safe alternative.

I've not really paid any attention. I preordered my Medicom as soon as I could and haven't looked back.

Saw on of the zizzle Sparrow's on the shelf this weekend and the paint job on it was horrible. Not sure if it was just a bad example but if there was a fair sculpt there you definitely couldn't see it because of the bad paint opps. After seeing Mike's review earlier I had planned on picking one up, but that plan has changed now.

As Mookeylama pointed out, the second link Melvin posted was a Zizzle repaint...looks like that $20 figure can be made to look pretty good, although this particular repaint lost the resemblance in the eyes along the way.

No arguments here. The Neca 18" figs are fantastic, but a whole different breed than 12". That's why I'll be having both

I have the 18 inch NECA figue from the first film (serious version), Zizzle's 12 inch (for the price, it doesn't look too bad), and I caved like a house of cards after DMC and ordered a Medicom Jack this past weekend because the overall look of the figure is droolworthy.

Best to order the Medicoms online quickly if interested before prices go up again, all the ebay listings for these at 140 are gone and I suspect the next range will be in the high 160s now that the film has been released overseas.

I really think the Medicom Jack may become a classic.

Maybe SSC will carry these too for an even better price but until that happens always best to hedge your bets.

Probably won't happen since MR announced their deal with Medicom to distribute the Disney related merchandise stateside.

Their suggested retail is $149 I think.

Yeah, I ordered my Medicom as soon as it was up for sale... He looks fantastic, the best 12 inch so far. I like the Soveriegn studios version as well, but I think the Medicom looks a little better.

I still wish SSC would do it, but I think that the license is pretty locked down for now. Maybe one day....

If I had the money and the inclination I would buy that Medicom Jack Sparrow. However, I am trying to get my collection cut down to just the Star Wars stuff in my office, and I don't have much room for various other movie characters right now. Plus, I prefer static sculpted statues to 12" action figures, and would probably never pay that much for one.
