I can't see anyone doing much better, my only critique is I wish his bandana was cloth but -- I'm not complaining, look at that outfit, it's insane!

yep. that's the pic that did me in pjam. that sculpt is dead on! if it had a cloth bandana, synthetic hair (Sovereign proved it could look outstanding!), and pleather boots (it may have them but i'm betting they'll be really thin plastic like the Spidey boots), would make this...dare i say it...A PERFECT FIGURE!!!

Keep clicking on the picture to make it larger. It says the Sparrow is 24 inches tall. I guess thats 1/3 scale then, right?

Hah! I said I would never pay over $100 for a 12" figure, but I pre-ordered Medicom Jack as soon as he was available! Also, I have the 12" NECA talking Jack on my shelf. For $28 it's a darn good looking figure, standing up there "swashing his buckles" with sword and pistol! He may not be very poseable, but he's a really good likeness, and the talking feature is a lot of fun. For only 8 bucks more than Zizzle. I'm happy.

BUT...
I have to stick with my good old Sovereign piece -- real hair, beads, braids, cloth scarf, etc, etc...just the head alone was worth the price. I'd still love to get the Medicom Sparrow -- I may regret not getting it in time -- but I just don't want 2 of the same figure. If the 3rd film is good, maybe I'll get the Samurai style Jack that Medicom will hopefully produce. Otherwise, I pray that sometime in February (ToyFair) Sideshow will announce its own Jack Sparrow line in time for the 3rd movie.

That Samurai Jack photo is a fake. He'll probably be wearing the same costume from Dead Man's Chest.
