Best and Worst Movie of 2009

WOW. Just watched Inglorious Basterds on BluRay and if QT doesn't finally nab his well-deserved Best Director Oscar for this one, there is no justice in the world! (but, that being said, I still haven't seen the Hurt Locker)

Anyway, Inglorious Basterds is now my favorite movie of 2009 that i've seen. I just can't get over how great it is! (and I thought it was gonna be dumb after seeing the trailers - no trailer could ever do this film justice)

I'm with Jay. For me it's now a toss up between Star Trek and Avatar for best. Worst is still Transformers.

Well after seeing it in IMAX last night, I have moved AVATAR to the top of the list. The movie is all around amazing: Story, Visuals and Sound.

I would agree. The Dark Knight and Avatar are the only recent major hyped movies to live up and exceed the hype IMHO.

Holy crap! If Evil is giving Avatar a 10/10 i'm in for a real treat! I too don't give many films a 10/10 so this should be exciting to see.

Definitely go see it!!! I saw it earlier and still want to go to Pandora. Even though I'm sticking with the Basterds as my favorite this year, Avatar is coming in to a close 2nd!!!

My best picks of the year are Star Trek, Watchmen, District 9 and Inglorious Basterds.

Worst is DragonBall Evolution.

I'm also adding Avatar to this list.

Definitely go see it!!! I saw it earlier and still want to go to Pandora. Even though I'm sticking with the Basterds as my favorite this year, Avatar is coming in to a close 2nd!!!

Don't get a new TV just yet--3D capable TVs are coming in 2010 and it's a good bet that Avatar will be one of the first 3D Blu-ray titles so they can promote the heck out of it.
