OK, so some of you already know I live in one of the last nooks and crannies on Earth that still can't get broadband. Yes, I live in the mountains and doesn't look like they have plans to get it here anytime soon.

You already have the Cthulhu, you don't need broadband.

Wow! I gotta say, I love it! I like the product pages/product categories best.

without having time to really dig deeply into it all, I would say my only suggestion would be to make the top bar a little less busy. I do, however, like having all of those links so readily available anywhere you travel on the site..

very well done guys! good luck!

If it's available for Gift Card use, it has an orange 'check your gift card here' banner in the right column of the page :duff

One of the new features I first noticed and LIKE...no having to click to the gift card page to see if the item is eligible, etc.

Guys...change is hard but really, is there any point in saying you liked the old way better? I don't think this beta testing is to ask if you like the old way or not. Change WILL happen. So why not embrace that fact and take this opportunity to provide some feedback for any improvement you might want them to consider, remembering that there's quite a difference between criticism and critique. Think about it....how many companies give their customers this kind of consideration?

I'm enjoying it so far. The product pages are excellent. Clean and straightforward.

I submitted a bug about the rewards points as I noticed one of my orders didn't show up that was from last year. Don't know if anyone else saw this and submitted anything.

How is this new design more efficient than what you previously had? This seems like it's a redesign just for the hell of it and not actually for convenience since the old site was easier to navigate.

Of course there is a point to saying the old way is better, as long as the comments make it clear as to why someone likes the old way better. It isn't about resisting change, it's about questioning whether a particular change is for the better or not. Do the benefits of the new design outweigh the losses from the old.

I agree with the comments that the new layout is much more consistent, but much less "friendly" than the old. I find that getting to some areas from the main page feels like it takes more clicks (I haven't taken the time to verify whether that is actual fact or just perception, but the perception is there, just the same). I also don't know whether I like having most of the product lines "hidden" on the main page.

One of the things that I have liked about Sideshow's site over the past 7 or 8 years has been the fact that it felt like a collector's site in a way. You could sense that the people behind the scenes were as passionate about these things as we are. With the new design it feels more like a "store". Sure, the same products are there, but there's no personality any more. It feels, for lack of a better word, more sterile.

I'm really digging the lay out so far. So much easier to find 'in stock' and 'second chance' pieces. On the old site I feel like a lot of these pieces got buried. Should help Sideshow sell more of their older pieces.

Kind of fun to skim through a see what can be had at a moments notice.

Robo, you have clarified what I actually meant to say with my poor/hasty wording....saying old way is better without expressing WHY is not helpful. Thanks. :beer
