Maybe Huell was a fitness instructor and the lost someone very close to him and begun the dangerous life of competitive eating and pick pocketing. I'd like to see an episode dedicated to that.

TO can play Fit Huell. :lecture

While I enjoyed the episode, I hope it doesn't set a precedent - pushing Jimmy to the margins. If he can't support his own show, then what's the point?
We certainly don't need empty vignettes for every character. That's how I determined LOST was brain cancer.
Exactly. Mikes story should of had a ten minute slot with bits throughout, not a whole episode... 10% of the entire series.
Dang, you guys couldn't be more wrong, in my books. It's not like every single episode of Breaking Bad focused exclusively on Walt or Jesse. :slap Maybe it'll look better to you guys at the the end of the season. Personally I think we're getting tons on Saul.

The personal tragedy and seeming epiphany Mike had clearly amounted to nothing, based on his continued dirty work in BB. So ultimately that means nothing to his character. It was entertaining, but completely empty of use to the series.

Well, I can't speak for either Collector or cilantro, but I did thoroughly enjoy the episode. I also liked seeing a softer side of Iron Mike. I just hope Gilligan and Gould don't keep going back to the well, that's all.

I'm guessing Jimmy helping out Mike in the next episode(s) will further open up the criminal underworld to Jimmy/aid in his corruption.

How did Mike know Jimmy would spill that coffee? He knows Jimmy, deep down inside, is a corruptible fellow.

Probably because Mike told Jimmy about looking for that family nearby their house and in the end Jimmy tells him he found them camping. The true story of them faking their kidnapping was never found out, so Mike likely believed Saul took a bribe to stay quiet.

Show keeps getting better and better. Very worthy spin-off.

Looking forward to next week!

I don't think it was an epiphany, though. More just coming to terms with what he is, which to me is character progression. It's similar to Unforgiven's William Munny character. He tries to live a certain way for the people he cares about, but in the end it's just a façade. Anyway, agree to disagree, I guess!

this one Mike episode was a lot more entertaining than the other 4 Saul ones....

not sure what to think, i know this is Saul's show but i hope we get more Mike episodes. Specially if Gus shows up and we see their beginning

Yes, would love to see more of Gus. Wonder if the reason they never got into his roots as a Chilean general under Pinochet was to save that sort of backfill for BCS. Hope so.

I don't know if Gus will ever appear on this show. Considering Saul never even knew who Mike was actually working for till Walt and Jesse's involvement, I don't know if they should add him to this series.

It would be interesting to see how Mike eventually started working for Gus, however that is more Mike's story and I don't know if it will be wise to show too much of his background. In saying that though, they did show us a lot about Hank in BB, and Mike seems to be one of the only other regular characters. Therefore they may delve more into his life without Saul being involved.

Agreed. I mean I was just saying it would be a fun cameo for the Breaking Bad fans if he just went in to get lunch or something and Gus took his order and that would be it, or he would walk by him at a table and ask if everything was alright (sort of like when Gus first met Walt), if anything. :lol

Yeah, that would be a good cameo :)

I could see them doing the same thing for Walt at some point. Saul could meet someone for dinner and Walt could be there having dinner with Skyler, Hank and Marie lol
