Facts lol

Idk wtf they were thinking with that. It made the 'Newborn' from Resurrection look adorable in comparison.
Thankfully I haven’t seen Resurrection,
Covenant, or Prometheus. Danny McBride was good enough a reason for me to skip Covenant.

But I can’t for the life of me,
ditch the thought that this looks just like him. :rotfl

I thought this new "stage" was a terrible idea.

So the form between chestburster and full grown alien is this V-hive thing? The chestburster returns to an "egg-like" shape? Isn't that repetitive?

I love the idea of seeing some form in-between chestburster and alien, just not this stinging starfish thing. Some scary, crawling quadrupedal thing would be better.

It may be repetitive, but it makes sense if you go for the more insectoid idea of the xenomorphs.
I didn't need it, but it's there now and it's not terrible.

I just realised that strange Romulus thread has been deleted. I knew I was missing a post, and now know which one.

(I can guess who deleted it).

Giving Jones a run for his money, Magnus the missing crew member:

I'm just glad the Alien and Predator franchises have been defibrillated. More one-offs and anthology films/shows, more (and better) merch...

It's subjective, one person's right is another person's wrong.
I think there are ways to please the majority without resorting to lowest common denominator key jangling.

Almost no one wanted Andor yet that is generally accepted as the best Star Wars Disney made. The idea of a prequel about a not particularly popular character from a spin off movie where he dies was something no one asked for and sounded like a terrible idea but it turned out great. Meanwhile the Boba Fett show was something fans were clamouring for and that turned out terrible. It isn't that what fans want is wrong, it is that execution is what matters most. If you give fans good quality writing then they will be happy. No matter whether it is a movie where a Wall-E style robot has to deal with the mess a xeno makes or a movie where there is an outbreak of Xeno's on future earth featuring OG Giger Xeno's and Colonial Marines doing battle, all that matters is how well it is executed (how good is the writing, acting, direction, VFX etc and does it fit in with what came before. Does it add to the lore or contradict it. Does it enhance what came before or does it create retroactive plot holes? Those are what matters).

You can please almost everyone. Just do it well.
