MY EYES ARE UP HERE!
I like psycho eyes so I'd be looking at them in any case.

I don't understand how they made this and expect people to have any sympathy towards Wanda. Reed comes out, tells them that he has children himself and she turns him into spagheti. That's how he goes out. Bolt smirks with confidence and then she closes his mouth and forces him to blow his own head. Oh, and Xavier gets his neck snapped and pulls TDKR Talia. That's how the original Illuminati members go out. But don't fret because GIRLBOSS MARIA & GIRLBOSS PEGGY put up a fight before they're killed! #YAAAAAASSSSSKWEEEEEEEEENSLAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY

This ***** is going around killing God knows how many people because of her imaginary children. Vision doesn't even show up. She doesn't even try to find an AU where her children are orphans or something. The movie ends when an AU self of hers tells her "s'okay sister, I feel your pain but you done goofed" and then, seeing her AU children afraid of her, she just decides to kill herself (but let's be real they'll bring her back).

How am I supposed to have any sympathy here?! Who the **** is this movie even for? It's not for Strangefans as he's an afterthought running after Wanda and Chavez and getting punked all the time. It's not for Wandafans as it literally turns her into a murderer with no remorse for the flimsiest of reasons. It's not for general comicfans since all the big name name characters get punked and go out like chumps, but don't worry, Maria and Peggy get to have their girlboss moments! It's not even for the twitter clickbaiters as all the cameos got cut. The morons didn't even put Balder in and Campbell just plays a Pizzaman.

The only way to salvage Wanda is to literally bring in the actual demons like Chthon or Mephisto, but seeing as any random schmuck can burn the Darkhold in the MCU, what's the point? Well, you better tune in next time True Believer, when thir-fourth(?) time's the charm and we'll surely get to see some sort of progress on the Wanda front! I'm sure by Midnight Suns 3.5 we'll maybe get to see Mephisto's hair...

I just don't understand... No, wait, I understand just fine. The movie exists for literally two lines. They mention the Incursions, and bring up how it's universes colliding with one another. Which means they're setting up Secret Wars which will be their endpoint. And two, when "our" Strange hears the name Fantastic Four he mentions the 60s. So there you have it. This pile of nonsense exists just to set up the Incursions, bring in Chavez, and make people familiar with the FF. They'll most likely appear in Ant-Man 3 and they'll go with the "60s crew stranded in [insert place]". I guess that means Doom got lost with them and that's why Latveria is a non-player. Or maybe he got left behind and without REEEEEEEEEchards he... chilled out and didn't try to take over the world. Or maybe Victor died from old age and Victor Jr. is a screwup. Ah, who knows.

The one good thing is that Theron as Clea looks good, and she opens a portal to the Dark Dimension at the end, so I hope DS3 will be better and maybe feature Mads as Dormammu.

Billion Dollar Corporation CGI over there!

STOP! What is that?
Dunno, it's been a long time since I watched Hannibal. It's from when they've caught him and he's imprisoned, and they bring him food and keep him in comfort so that they can study him. S3 I think, after he comes back from Italy.

Or are you referring to WTF this Strange sequel is? Both are valid questions...

Maybe we'll get Mads back in DS3 as Dormammu's Avatar, and being a sassy uncle to Theron's Clea. Throw in Eva Green as Umar, and I could begin to forgive them for this...

I had high hopes for this but now, I'll probably wait for streaming or unless I really get bored in the next few weekends, I'll just see it in the theater.

The smartest man on Earth? He literally tells the unstable psycho how to take out their secret weapon, and then... streches. I guess Reed kinda forgot how to deal with magic, even though Doom is his archnemesis and he was on a team with their Strange, because... LMAO who cares, now you know Marvel has the rights back so don't forget to tune in for the Marvel Studios Production "Fantastic Four" hitting theatres in 2 years!

The Midnight King whose whole point is insane levels of self-control? He just panicks and kills himself. Remember that if he shows up in the actual MCU. All you need to do is have someone tape his mouth and he'll freak out! If he's that weak willed how the Hell hasn't he blown Medusa to bits when he's ******* her?

Anyway, Wanda doesn't even raise a hand to do anything to those two. It's all instant, thought-to-action. Then what happens? Girlboss Maria gives a dismissive and annoyed look to Captain ****, after they saw two of their supposed friends and comrades die gruesome deaths, and so... they have a fistfight. Wanda just kinda forgot that she could turn people into cubes with a thought so she just... gets into a fistfight with the ladies because YAAAAAAS KWEEEEEEEENS SLAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY. Those dumb men don't warrant a proper fight scene!

Oh, and not to mention that Strange cracks jokes for all Illuminati members except, of course, the Girlbosses. Hey there True Believer, isn't this guy's crown STOOPID?! Doesn't it look like a FORK?! L-O-L! Better not take anything seriously, because genuinity is bad, m'kay?

And lest we forget that the entire flick revolves around Wanda, who's psycho because of her dead made-up kids, and goes on a genocidal crusade but we're meant to empathise because... because reasons, I guess. Killing random people to get back your made-up kids you had for a week or so is truly very understandable. Tragic and so on and so forth... Also, why didn't Wanda try to hunt down White Vision at least? LMAO, who cares, we've got Girlbosses up in here!

What is Strange's arc, you may ask? Well, uh, he learns to... let go, again, I guess. And be responsible for others too, again as well. So, yeah, big changes. Really, really heavy stuff. The guy ends the movie screaming as a third eye emerges from his forehead, then keeps walking until he joins a random to him woman on an epic adventure (a good story, for another time).

Remember when people were complaining Iron Man 2 was not a proper Iron Man sequel and instead was set-up for Avengers? 12 years later we sure have come a long way! Now the MC's sequel is not even his, it's actually the epilogue to streaming tv show and all it does is set up things 10 years down the line.

BRAVO MARVEL!

Ok despite all that I got chills when a certain someone showed up and a certain theme kicked in. Like I won’t watch the movie but that actually made me freaking smile !

Couldn't help but read the spoilers as I just wanted to see who shows up. Ended up watching the clips. The true comedy here will be seeing everyone use mental gymnastics to explain how it's actually a good thing how certain characters were treated LOL.

Don't look at this unless you wanna see the final lineup for the Illuminati scene....

Oh well, at least the memes will be good.

My favourite bit was when

he got his neck snapped by a jumpscare and then pulled a Talia. Next time they could bring in McAvoy and have him get crushed to death by his wheelchair, while Dark Phoenix Jean gets in a fistfight with Psylocke.

You know

seeing Jim in action, I kinda liked him more than I thought I would. The costume was more detailed too. I just don't understand why the added those random bits in the arms and legs. I'd still buy the figure before the proper MCU FF arrive just to have my Illuminati display Reed ready. Worst case scenario I end up with a buch of Reeds and set up a Council Of Reeds display at the far end of my FF display.

I feel like (spoiler) has now become the Kenny of the marvel universe.

omg they killed (spoiler) ! You *******s!

My prediction is they'll have Dwight play as Doom. Hehehehehehehe! Victor will be soooooo ecstatic.

The post credit scene is absolute dog ****. No Ghost Rider. Black Bolt making his own head implode was my favorite part of the movie. That and when the movie ended. 6.4

7.6 because it's Raimi. Love that fat basterd.

So I do wonder though, is this set before or after Loki? Because this definitely follows WandaVision (it really is like a sequel to WandaVision), and I assume Thor will act like a sequel to Loki?

I saw it yesterday and I have a hard time deciding how I feel about this film. At this point I'd say it's a very meager 6 out of 10.

Some thoughts:

  • I didn't like Wanda being the villain from the get go. I'd love to have seen her embark on a quest with Strange only to be corrupted halfway through or something.
  • She made a great villain though and Elizabeth Olsen did a great job.
  • Her motives for being a villain were absolutely rubbish though.
  • I loved the introduction of the Illuminati. It was great seeing John Krasinski as Reed Richards. I hope he'll take the mantle as well in the FF film, but I guess time will tell. Could very much be a one off appearance in this film only. Hope we'll see a HT figure of him.
  • I hated how the Illuminati were handled. I get that they want to show how insanely powerful Scarlet Witch is, but come on man... These are that universe's most mighty and powerful heroes and they died like weak-*** canonfodder. Or at least the male heroes did...
  • I really liked live action Cap Carter as well. Her death was pretty brutal. Again, I hope we'll see a HT figure.
  • Didn't really care about Mordo, Xavier, The Voice dude and superpowered Nomi.
  • What happened to Mordo anyway?
  • Found America Chavez to be mostly annoying.
  • For a movie called Multiverse of Madness I'd expected more multiverse, with more interesting variants.
  • Zombie Strange looked kinda cool.
  • I wonder if the Other Wanda with the dark hair will be the main Scarlet Witch now, or if this is the end of this character. I guess America could pop over to that universe to pick her up, should they need her.
  • I absolutely HATED the third eye on main Strange. I hope they never ever mention or show it again in the future.
  • I guess Charlize is there to pick him up for a MCU/Fast and Furious crossover?

Anyway, this film is again a confirmation for me that the heyday of the MCU is over and ended with Endgame. I hope Love and Thunder will be awesome since Thor is my favorite of the original Avengers (and pretty much the only one left), but I am ready to be dissapointed and seeing him fall victim to agenda's and the message.

I'm on the opposite side of your point #1

I felt having her as the villain from the get go is the most logical arc for this character after the events of IW, EG and WV. She was never redeemed in WV and this is exactly where/what her character would be.

Most of your other points I do agree with though. Except Chavez. I kinda liked her.

I swear, if they ruin the casting of Doom

Theron's playing Clea, Strange's wife in the comics and Dormammu's niece. Seeing as she opens a portal to the Dark Dimension, we'll probably be getting a proper Dormammu in DS3. Maybe they'll make it a Hell Lord/Incursion lead-up type of flick and bring in Chthon, Mephisto and the such too. Honestly, they haven't touched even the surface of Strange lore, so they could make 2 or even 3 more of these, but we know they won't.

At the end of the day, it is just an underwhelming and nonsensical flick that exists as set-up and an epilogue for WandaVision. In a sense it's a worse IM2.
