That's even more savage than that time on Mustafar when Obi-Wan cut out about 1/3 of Anakin.

I know right, especially when there were a hundred other opportunities to show those qualities that didn't make groan bounty hunters look like incompetent morons.Perfect
But no they needed to show Leia being brave and someone who doesn’t give up.
Groan.
Would this have been so hard, especially when the end result is exactly the same?
I hope that BOBF Season 2 pays homage to the movie Speed by having a bomb on Drash's Vespa set to explode if she goes slower than 5 mph. "Get out of the way, get out of the way!" (Tatooine residents casually gather their things and step out of her way, lol)But that deprives us of a Disney-specialized Hi-Octane foot-chase on a par with the Vespa/Landspeeder chase from BOBF....

I don't feel like googling the George Costanza chase, so if you all could imagine that I did and put in the clip, that would be terrific.I hope that BOBF Season 2 pays homage to the movie Speed by having a bomb on Drash's Vespa set to go off if she goes slower than 5 mph. If you put the two together, and split the difference the Chirrut Îmwe show should then get about 12 episodes?ObiWan got 6 measly episodes while Daredevil is getting 18 episodes
Depends I guess... For me, this was way better than BoBF, especially if you remove the Mando episodes. So was this better or worse than Book of Boba Fett? Discount the Mando episodes as those don't count.
Slightly better. It has a single good scene between Vader and Kenobi in the final episode. Just watch the last episode. The others aren't worth watching. So was this better or worse than Book of Boba Fett? Discount the Mando episodes as those don't count.
Not without programming a directive never to rewatch it, surely, Else you could end up just reliving the horror all over again.Slightly better. It has a single good scene between Vader and Kenobi in the final episode. Just watch the last episode. The others aren't worth watching.
Whereas I'd have my memory wiped of the entire BoBF if I could.
Good call. Can you imagine the hellish loop otherwise. I think Dante described it in one of the circles of hell in the Divine Comedy. Somewhere between the 5th and 7th circles I believe. Not without programming a directive never to rewatch it, surely, Else you could end up just reliving the horror all over again.
My opinion is it was WAYYYY better. “Kenobi” still has major pacing and character problems, but I walked away from BoBF feeling like it made the main character weaker, while I walked away from “Kenobi” feeling like it enhanced the original films. At the very least, “How Obi-Wan got his groove back” focused on the main character, while the best BoBF episodes were Mando episodes entirely. So was this better or worse than Book of Boba Fett? Whilst I personally disliked BoBF more, I can't disagree with any of your points. This was not better than BOBF. It manages to look even cheaper, it's poorly made and it wastes the talents of all the folks who were in the films. It has even more WTF moments and features new cast members who are either ill-prepared or badly directed or both.
It's right at the level of TROS. I'll never watch again.
I'll give Andor a go with low expectations, but I have a feeling I'm going to end up as done with SW as I am with Marvel. So sad and so insane that something that managed to go on so well for so many years ends up withering away in a vapid cloud of soulless agenda. RiP SW.
