:D just kidding "Drugs are bad." But the comments are very motivational!

If I make a Muftak, I might have to find a shorter pile fur, but I could use the same concept I used below:

For the Hassk cousin, I couldn't sew a fur suit because the reference character is so slim. I had to make a fur suit by gluing on sections of fur a little bit at a time. :horror

Thanks so much. :) Instead of replying to a message, I'll put it here in case anyone else wants to see it.

Here are some of my Mon Calamari pilot notes.
• 1997 Hasbro 12" scale Ackbar (head and forearm / hands)
• Drilled out and replaced eyes, slightly repainted arms and head.
• Hot toys Snake Eyes pants buckles (I have found some buckles on eBay that also work.)
• Hot Toys body
• Hot Toys neck
• Neck socket from OneSixthKit.com
• Sideshow X-wing pilot belt and bits
• Hot Toys Murphy jumpsuit (Bleached and dyed green)
• Sideshow Stormtrooper thermal detonator
• Dragon Zeke boots w/leggings
• HALO NSWDG MFF Insertion PRC Radio parts
• ACE US Navy SEAL Radio
• Custom sewn vest (thanks goes out to my wife) and sewn "hose"
• Custom vest "electronics" made from beads, leather, part from Sideshow Endor Rebel, and paper clips.
• I raided by wife's crafting supplies for little rivet looking bits, "nail heads", ribbons that I painted, etc.
• Scale Horse tack buckles
• Grey wire wrap wire
• Partial scarf to allow the head to look up without showing the modified neck area
• Repainted weathered / battle damaged, almost everything.
• And other stuff I am probably forgetting. :monkey4 :)

That's a serious list of ingredients for some serious cake.:lecture

Back when I did Muftak, I went the piece by piece glue route. Talk about messy…& being my attempt? Thought I would never NOT see fur flakes in my workshop again, lol. But, that was before I was sewing. Come time to do another, I will most likely give the sewn fur body suit a try.

I think I get just as giddy & inspired just seeing your WIP/ behind the scenes pics as much as the finished product Steven:wink1:
