Agreed. The thing is, if they only kept us updated about shipping dates we wouldn't have to worry so much about budgeting. The uncertainty makes it hard. They feel they've sorted that problem by giving you the option to make a series of payments or pay in advance, but I'm just not comfortable doing that. Therefore I have to guess when Ten is coming. I understand that release dates change but as long as they update us on that too then I don't see the problem.

You could always get their payment plan details but instead of paying them each instalment, put it in an account. That way you keep control of the cash and can forward budget.

I got mine from ThingsFromAnotherWorld (tfaw.com).

That's where I got my 11 from as well. Not long after I bought it they had a sale and it's price dropped massively so I put a claim in using the insurance they give with every purchase and got the difference back. Ended up paying about a third of the retail price. Wish I could have got 10 so cheap, but 10 is worth the full price to me.

My 11 is fine, but I do look at it with Dr Who fan tinted glasses. It is actually a very light and fragile feeling figure in comparison to an HT TRU type. However, it does look quite good ( unlike Amy) which is what matters.
10 looks really cool, but I've never been taken by the overcoat. It just doesn't quite work. I don't care as without it, this figure is looking as good as it could ever do.

I might sell the overcoat and the stand as I'm not really interested in either... when they finally arrive.

Tick tock, tick tock.....
Technically, I've paid for mine, coz I sent my dad the cash for them (this and 4), but I'm not holding my breath. I would be surprised if these surface before Christmas.

I doubt they have even started assembling them yet and that takes a lot of time. Plus add on the slow journey by boat to the UK and then out to their customers, Christmas is looking like an impossibility since there's only 44 shopping days left until Christmas.

BCS have said on Facebook that, subject to production, they will be flying the figures to get them over before Christmas.

ig Chief Studios Limited We expect to be invoicing for 1:6th 10 and 4 last wk Nov/1st wk Dec, 10th Dynamix we expect to be invoicing in the next couple of wks. This is provided the factories stick to the current schedule. We will be flying in product to get it in to the hands of customers before Christmas. Thanks, BCS

That is FANTASTIC. Thanks BC. It ends a week of uncertainty and indecision for me and makes budgeting much easier.

Would be great to see some pics of the figures coming off the production line.

That is fabulous. I can't wait... (I had better finish my TARDIS :horror)

It's kind of nice how it turned out, in a way. This way 10 and 4 ship together and it'll be a nice savings on shipping.

God, I hope the air freight doesn't kill their profits.

Meanwhile, they're gonna need to do a new 'drawn and haggard' Tennant head, based on the Day Of The Doctor trailer.

Well, hopefully if they are planning on doing it they have enough cushion to work with to do the air freight or they wouldn't do it. I'd be fine with waiting for them to arrive after Christmas, to be honest.

They may feel a certain amount of pressure to get Tennant out less than an entire YEAR after the pre-order.

I have no doubt they feel the pressure and know what needs to happen. My fingers and toes are crossed in hope.

Or they may feel they can't put Hartnell up for order unless they've delivered 10 and 4.

That was my thought too. I know I'd feel a lot more secure about ordering Hartnell if I either had Ten and/or Four, or at the very least were convinced that they were on the way soon.

Still, until things actually start shipping I'm not going to be holding my breath...

I'd rather they take their time and not rush them and get things right. We don't need another Amy Pond incident or ashen faces or sloppy paint apps or bad tailoring.
