Bikers chase down family in SUV in New York

They have the advantage of being able to immediately disable tires, whereas it's conceivable that the rider could control the bike through the oil. Their big disadvantage is that unless you have hundreds of them, they don't cover the road as thoroughly as oil.

Flammable oil slick would be best. Or exploding caltrops. Or miniature magnetic mines. Or an SUV used as a battering ram (the only drawback being that the driver could have an unhealthy respect for life, to the point that he couldn't bear to kill people who threatened his family).

Myself, I'd go with the last option. My respect for life stops at the safety of my loved ones.

Or he would be smart enough not to get off a freeway and go into crowded NY streets. I would kept driving down a freeway while on the phone with cops and have them come to me.

When you're **** scared, even the most logical of all decisions may turn out to be a stupid one. By the looks of it, I'd have behaved in the same way.

Yup...could have, should have... but when you're scared as **** you don't always think logically the way you would behind a computer, thinking of options in a relaxed manner. Saying we would have faired the same as the guy, or worse, but can we honestly say we would have done better? When the mind is racing and fear has you backed into a corner, logic sometimes get thrown out of the window.

Typical ****heads though. I'd LOVE to see a single biker (or gang, doesnt have to be bikers) act the same way alone. I've seen it my whole life. Karma will meet each and everyone of them one day.

I hate Bikers. Ever since American Chopper and Wild Hogs, every ********* has a bike.

I thought that happened after they surrounded him, which happened after he called 911 because they were driving like idiots.

Only thing that I have seen is that they surrounded because he "bumped" the rider who basically stopped in front of him and he had shouted obscenities at him. It sounds like they were pissed he yelled at them and they tried to bully him by almost stopping I front of him and then things got bad.

From what I've read he called the police on them, they surrounded his vehicle and got him to stop, he feared for his and his families safety and took off running some of the bikers down.

Just speculation on my part but I'm guessing they were acting like douches. He may have pointed to his phone to them and starting dialing or they may have seem him dialing and figured out what he was doing. Unless some other info comes out, and it better be pretty damning to the SUV driver, he was 100% justified in what he did.

I am sure the guy who posted the video will have the camera and computer will get confiscated in part of the investigation. There is more to that video than is what shown. I am guessing if SUV had done something illegal to provoke the surrounding of him it would have been shown, just like how once the beating actually really starts the video stops (looks like it was edited to stop there)

Guess time will tell. I'm not anti-biker but I can tell you I've seen my share of ******* bikers, and that's only in a group of 3 or 4. I know what my instinct is telling me, now I'll wait and see if it's right.

I don't know what video you watched but from this one there is no chance in hell I will side with the bikers. Watch about 25 seconds in.

You can see as he is passing the SUV he is looking in the window. I don't care if the driver was flipping him the bird you don't pull in front of someone and then drastically decelerate. Once the SUV was stopped and all the bikes surrounded it the man was legitimately in fear for the safety of himself and his family.

A guy who ran over one of their friends.. who was no doubt being an ******* too... but ultimately it seemed to be 2 or 3 hotheads while the rest where just trying to get the guy to stop so that authorities could be contacted.

Why? Were guns drawn? Knives being pulled out? I see 50+ trying to stop a guy who (as far as most of them knew) had just attacked one of their own with an SUV. Take a look at these "bikers". They are normal people. Pissed off people. But normal. It's pretty clear to me that it was the SUV drivers fear that drove this situation. Not the bikers supposed brutality.

It's not so black and white as some of you would like to believe, but hey, go on judging a situation you have a very superficial knowledge about.

Yup.

Someday people may learn to read instead of judgment calls based on a youtube video. But I doubt it. Reading is hard.

that's exactly what some people argue. That the guy hit a biker first. Then he drove away and the video starts.

Some people are sure he started everything and the bikers just wanted him to stay put until the police arrived.

But news channels are saying the bikers were wild and out of control and the guy just wanted to call the cops on them, once he called the cops they started to chase him and then the video starts.

So we have 2 very different stories here. The youtube video starts after either one of this stories begin.

If the SUV did hit one of their own, the bikers could've...I don't know...called the police instead of chasing down the SUV and beating the driver? Just an idea.
