Super Freak
The fact that they are "around" is the worst problem with bikers. They go AROUND the cars by driving in BETWEEN them all the time, which is really risky and should be illegal, but gee, who expects a motorcycle to come speeding along next to them, not even IN A LANE?
If motorcycles stayed in the lanes, in the right hand tire track of the car in front, they would be safer. But wait, then they couldn't pass everyone in cars to get through traffic more quickly, even though it is inherently dangerous.
Then when they do get hit because they are weaving through traffic in a way that makes in very difficult to see them (which a car can't do) they pretend to be the innocent victim.
The biker assumes risk for going in between cars and passing next to them closely.
You're generalizing people who ride motorcycles. Not all people who ride bikes drive inbetween lanes (lane splitting), weave around traffic, speed, or pass too closely to other vehicles. The guy I knew that was nearly killed (the accident was so bad that it split his helmet in two, broke his hip, leg, foot, and arm in multiple places) happened when a Semi changed lanes without noticing the two guys on motorcycles already there. The issue for bike riders is visibility, they're not as noticeable as a larger vehicle.
I'm not defending the A--holes seen in the video, just explaining why some motorcyclists have loud engines, and ride around in groups.
