I'm not saying the guys didn't f---- up. They certainly are a bunch of losers. All I said was the SUV driver also needs to get some type of punishment. Regardless if he was just trying to get his family away from them he nearly killed somebody doing so. And from the video the guy that got run over was sitting on his bike in front of the car. So it didn't seem like the guy that got hit was slashing his tires and bashing his helmet against the car. If someone was attacking me it doesn't make it ok for me to them attack someone else just to escape my attacker.

And yes the whole thing is disturbing.

The guys blocking him in were helping OTHER guys so they could bash the car and beat up or kill the driver or his family. He was a participant, not an innocent bystander.

In a gang rape, not every man can rape a woman at once. Some of them help by holding her down until it is his turn. That's basically the kind of role those bikers blocking the SUV were doing.

They were holding the guy down so their accomplices could attack the SUV and it's occupants. That is exactly what they did later as soon as they got the chance, down the road.

They didn't just peacefully detain the driver and wait for the police, which, having as many people as they had, they could have easily done.

They proved their intent by their actions, which justifies the driver's actions to get away by any means necessary to escape the imminent harm that the mob of riders intended. At the very least, they were already vandalizing the car. You know if they lacked that much self control, anyone would be a fool in the driver's position not to flee for his life.

The riders left him no choice but to run them over to get away. The riders were that dangerous. If the riders left him an opening big enough, I'm sure he would have avoided hitting them or their bikes.

He had lots of opportunity to run into them when they were all moving at speed, but did not do so. He only wanted to escape. The riders only wanted to harass and hurt the driver of the SUV and destroy his car, and no less.

These guys in front of the SUV were imprisoning the SUV for the purpose of committing vandalism and assault and battery, and possibly murder, as far as anyone in the SUV could tell.

Well, I watched the video. I've read many reports. I've seen the guy who is currently in the hospital paralyzed (the biker), and seen the interview where one of the bikers who witnessed all this said that there is more to the story that takes place before the video.

I'm trying to be as open minded about this as possible, since I know several bikers and some are relatives who ride in these squads of riders. But, apparently riders were antagonizing the guy driving the Rover because he didn't pull over and let all the riders pass and he supposedly cut someone off. At that point, I'm thinking so what? People get cut off all the time and since when should any other driver pull over because and endless parade of motorcycles wants to coast by going 40mph (according to the riders they were all doing the speed limit)? From the video, you have them swarming this Range Rover and brake checking them to initiate the conflict. That seems like the riders asking for trouble in my opinion.

Then you have bikers literally park and stop in front of this guy and bring him to a complete stop. There's got to be at the very least 200 people around this guy who is with his wife and child. The video shows people getting off their bikes and walking over to the truck and that's when he accelerates and runs of people and bikes alike. In my opinion, he was not the aggressor and did what he had to to protect his family. As he should.

Now, maybe he was driving like a douche and it wasn't caught on camera. But we've all had to deal with a-hole drivers and it never gives us a free pass at retaliation. If this guy actually hit or ran over a biker before the events of the video, then yeah he's a total **** and I'm glad the bikers took justice in their own hands (but didn't harm the wife or child). That's a big "IF". But from the looks of it, or my understanding, that didn't at all happen.
Well there "justice" was pretty stupid, they ended up in jail, and got one of their buddies run over.

It was indeed. But they seemed to feel it was worth it. That's their problem now.

But if the guy actually hit an innocent person and drove off for no reason, which doesn't seem to be the case here, than he deserves two black eyes. IMO.

He had reason to fear for his safety, and the safety of his family by the way these bikers were acting.

No way does he deserve any punishment. At all.

This is the very picture of lawlessness. Given how recklessly they were observed riding their bikes on video, I have little problem envisioning any prior contact with the driver as their own damn fault. Then they decide to be the police and trap the man on a roadway. Uh huh. Then they start slashing or threatening to slash the man's tires. Check.

So far, SUV driver was justified in my eyes. I saw a couple quick reactions from the mother and wife of that one biker who got paralyzed "Meezy" or whatever. "He was trying to help"? Ok, what was he doing with his body and bike right next to that vehicle?

Moral of the story is: "Biker gangs can be pretty ******* stupid pack animals."

Personally, if it had been me and my two year old in the car, I would've taken out more of them while I still had road.

Lots of keyboard cowboys here who probably can't relate to any of the events happening here. How many of you actually ride?

I don't support either side of who is right or who is at fault. They all look like @ssh0l3s on that video. Facts are...the bikers who committed a crime were arrested or are being sought after. Good. These guys are douch3s. But the driver of the SUV has got to pay for what he did as well. You can't just run over people and crush them under your $100k SUV because they are sitting in front of you. He's got to pay too.

I don't do this crap or ride in groups or gangs or rallies. I've ridden all across the country from NJ to California and back on a loop of 9,000 miles in 22 days. I always try to ride where there are no cars and no people and no danger of me getting killed by the idiots in cages who have no idea what is going on around them because they are talking on their bluetooth or texting or whatever. Fact is I treat every car out on the road like they are trying to kill me. If you don't, they just might end up doing so.

Says the "keyboard cowboy" with a sports bike sig who's trolling those who sided with the driver of the SUV. :rotfl

As much as I agree with this...

I think he has an excellent point with this. I think it is not unlikely that at least one of the riders was carrying a gun. If the driver started running into riders deliberately, there is a high likelihood that the family in the car might be dead now.
Had he started to bump motorcycles right and left, i bet one of these guys had a gun and it might have been a lot worse.

I thought it was funny how clumsy the guy that broke the window was, when he dropped the helmet at first :lol

Wasn't the guy who was clipped after slowing down in front of the SUV the same one who was pounding on the passenger window while the guy with the helmet broke through the glass?

But that's exactly what happened. The whole reason the bikers started chasing after this guy was because he just carelessly ran over someone, then drove off in a panic. Everyone here is taking the SUV driver's side. Did they not watch the beginning of the video? I'm not saying that the bikers made the right choice in chasing him down. But seriously, I'd be pretty pissed if someone ran one of my friends over, didn't have the b@lls to stay back and render aid, and just took off like a pu$$y in a high speed chase.

Just so you know, nam, Snake Plissken will soon catch up to your post count. In fact, I'm pretty sure the The Josh will be in danger of losing his crowned position as SSF Post Emperor within a year if Plissken continues to burn his keyboard at the current pace. You guys have been warned...

WRONG! That guy stopped in front of him on purpose and the guy clipped him.
