GameStop had a deal where if you preordered the strategy guide (any version) you got the Seasons Pass for free. A little too late to do that now...but I did buy the hard cover limited edition version that came with the bird/cage key. Can't wait for the DLCs.

Gonna start my second play through tonight.

That is a good deal. I may pick up the guide to help me get the little things I miss and if its a nice version I like to get them for that too.

Yeah this is the first game I will actually buy the DLC. The only other time I have done this is if I bought the GOTY edition of the game.

I will get season pass type deals for games I know I will play enough to justify it.

Totally understandable. I just hope the DLC is released soon. I need more asap

Speaking of the strategy guide. How is the hardcover? Is it really nice? I'm tempted to pick it up when I order the Art book tonight on Amazon

It is nice and very helpful. The cover is really pretty with the Songbird. Worth the extra $7-8 over the regular soft cover. There was one more version...that was even more money...I can't remember what all that included though.

This game was begging for a new game plus mode. There was so many upgrades and whatnot that I didn't get. So many weapons and vigors I didn't mess around with much. Starting over is an option of course, but a new game plus mode would be ideal.

Yeah I think a new game plus mode would have been awesome. SO many different weapons that I would have liked to upgrade and actually use, but only had enough money to do a few as well as the vigors.

Totally. I loved the shotgun, carbine and hand cannon so put all of my money into those. I upgraded a handful of vigors as much as I could, but I didn't max out hardly anything. it's like they designed the game with new game plus in mind and then forgot to add it. Maybe they'll do something in the DLC that will do something about that.

Once I got a handcannon, I only switched in the midst of combat when I couldnt reload or had a chaingun off a patriot for better effect. That handcannon is a beast.

I pretty much only used the Carbine. It was a blast to use. Pretty much any game that allows me to use a carbine is awesome imo. Always a favorite of mine to use in any game.

For sure. Stopping power to spare. There was a couple guns I don't think I even tried once. I don't even remember their names.

I barely used "charge", "overflow" or "return to sender" at all. I think I tried each one a couple times and then went back to "bronco", "devil's kiss" and the occasional "crow". It's a unique problem. The game isn't long enough to contain it's own awesomeness.

I think you mean Undertow the water one. It's amazing for fighting Firemen, hit them with Bronco than switch to Undertow and wash them off the side of the island. Also good for fighting on the barges just knock enemies right over the side, and it not only shorts the patriots but damages them a bit as well. And with the Handyman you can douse him then hit him with the electricity and it will do extra damage.

Hehe, yeah that's it. I've found theres a great function for every vigor in the game. I just never got around to experimenting with all of them and how you can combo them too. Add the upgrades that can make big changes to them and you've just got too much win for one playthrough.

Beat the game about an hour ago. WOW what a ride. Bioshock 1 is still number 1 for me but this is straight second. I loved how there were so many slight nods to the First without spoiling anything. The
Jump scare by the Boy of Silence while scaring me ****less reminded me soo much of the jump scare in the first from the doctor.

I found enough money to upgrade all the vigors and all the weapons except for 3. I never spent money on health, salts or ammo.

One trick that gives you a little money is to cast attraction on all the vending machines. They spit out a pile of coins. Also most of those safes that require picklocks have a fair amount of money in them as well.

I'm not sure if anyone played or is playing on Hard. I've been playing all on hard and I am stuck at
elizabeths moms ghost
I mean holy ****. What the **** must I do to kill this thing?

Did you find the unlicensed nuclear accelerator?

:monkey3

Took me a ton of tries but what you need to do is draw her away from the people she reincarnates because she will keep doing it. She's weekest when she repowers herself afterwards though so taking down the whole group can be a good thing. Use alot of Electric traps and Undertow to pull her upto you on the 2nd floor away from the guys protecting her and than just unload all you've got. Reload get more salts and do it again. Are you stuck with her at the bank or Comstock gate?

Yeah on hard the battles in the last couple hours kicked my ***, that one included. I eventually found tactics that helped a lot. 1). Use Bucking Bronco to levitate enemies to buy you time so you can focus on the main boss. 2) Burn the bodies of the spawned enemies so that they can't be brought back. The boss can still spawn new enemies, but they'll be less in number if you kill the previous wave of minions by burning their bodies.

Those tactics helped for both of the encounters with that boss.

Hope the Dlc expands the story abit more. They said 3 dlc will come by 2014
