Just finished this game. 2 days. About 10 hrs total. :yess:

The first Bioshock was my favourite modern game. The creativity behind such a compelling storyline jut kept me interested the whole game and I loved he use of plasmids and how it expanded the experience.

I got the same feeling from this one. The world, characters, storyline, vigors, guns, big hitters, integration of the skyhook, and general interaction with the environment was amazing. I always got the sense that there were things happening around me.

I was concerned that like #2 it would feel repetitive. I couldn't have been more wrong with my concerns. This was a complete "from scratch" project with a few tributes to the original. The new vigors stole the show. Columbia surpassed my every expectation.

Again, Bioshock won my vote for best game. I'll be replaying this a few times. :clap

My only suggestion for Bioshock would be a reset option where you can move redo any vigor/gun upgrades.

Yeah on hard the battles in the last couple hours kicked my ***, that one included. I eventually found tactics that helped a lot. 1). Use Bucking Bronco to levitate enemies to buy you time so you can focus on the main boss. 2) Burn the bodies of the spawned enemies so that they can't be brought back. The boss can still spawn new enemies, but they'll be less in number if you kill the previous wave of minions by burning their bodies.

Those tactics helped for both of the encounters with that boss.

I will try this. I think part of the problem may have been adult beverage intake and lack of sleep. :rotfl:slap

One thing for besides all the good things about this game that tells me it's a good game is....... The time you put in playing saying that you're going to stop and hours later you finally do stop. :lol

I also recommend the mines or traps you can set with the vigors too. They've helped me huge in some of these tough fights. If you know a big fight is coming, drop a few traps down before all hell breaks loose. Devil's Kiss and Bronco are great for this.

The night it came out I told my self I would play for 2 hrs since I didn't want to get into it so heavily that I wouldn't stop because of work the next day. I stopped laid in bed. 20 mins later I jumped back out and played for another hour lol

I'm going to play this on hard next....the thing I am really dreading....is the last big fight on Comstock's Zeppelin.

It surprises me a bit to hear that people have beaten this game in 10 hours. I think I played near twice that....but I did explore every inch of that world...and when you went through tears...many times things would change and you would find things that weren't there before...which meant I would go through that whole area again. I spent a hell of a long time exploring....and when there were zip lines...zipping about to see if there where any additional areas to explore.

Agreed Josh this game suckered me in I picked it up Tuesday at noon and beat it Wednesday morning at around 5 and I'm only missing about 5 voxophones I took my time with this game and searched every area for money and lockpicks

At least you have a general idea of how the battle will play out. I chose to play on hard mode from the get-go for my first run. I died at least 5 times during that fight. Lost so much cash. :(

Yeah it took me about 18 hours. I died quite a bit, but I also explored every nook and cranny and stopped to look at posters and stuff.

It's a crime to just rush through a world like this. I mean, they made so much effort putting so many world-building details into it, it seemed right to take time to absorb everything. I can't say that about a lot of shooters.

I almost wished BI wasn't just a shooter so that it could be freed from the limits of the genre. I wanted to stop and talk to everyone, like it was Mass Effect or something.
