I was trying to talk to a friend of mine today about Bioshock Infinite.....didn't work. I don't think she's played a video game since PacMan came out. The idea of how detailed and immersive video games have become was a concept totally lost on her. If I want to talk person to person about video games...I have to go to Game Stop and talk to the employees. :lol No one in my life here gets my passion for video games....and most find it odd that I at my age I'm still a gamer. :lol

Yeah, to an outside observer, it is really hard to get the idea across that video games have become oftentimes as immersive and well-written as any other form of media. But most people will still think video games = hurr durr splosions!

I can tell you one thing - The Walking Dead Episodes 1-5 hit me harder emotionally than almost any movie I've ever seen.

Does anyone know how to get the official soundtrack if you didn't buy one of the limited editions? I keep hoping it will turn up for sale on iTunes or somewhere...but no luck so far. I really love the music in this game and I'm bummed I didn't fork over extra $ to get this with the game. :(

You can try what I did, I just traded someone my Infinite for Tomb Raider straight up and then bought the Premium edition with the sound track and art book. :yess:

I know. Pretty sweet!

I started Bioshock 1 again today. Gonna try to get all the audiofiles and create 100 items. I see there is an issue in regards to getting the brass ***** achievement. I tried to fix it so the chambers could be turned off. May just have to save and becareful.

I can confirm this glitch exists because I played the game on max difficulty and didn't use a vita chamber but yet didn't get the brass ***** achievement. It's the only achievement I'm missing.

I get that all the time as well. :monkey2 :lol

For those that have played the original, I tried to start a NEW GAME PLUS but the screen said 'must finish last level' or some such......but, I beat the game last year

Playing with FOV lock disabled...whoa - weird!!!!

Well I downloaded the free tonic/plasmid DLC for BioShock 1, loaded my last save(boss fight with Fontaine), paused and in options was now able to disable vita chambers, resumed the last fight and got the brass ***** achievement. :yess:

I still give up on the audio files one though. Sucks You have to find them all in one game rather than having it be accumulative like in Infinite.

Probably going to get some hate but I freaking loathe the game's ending...I rarely feel this way after playing a game, but I almost wish I didn't play this (despite the nice gameplay). Complex storyline/endings are great but this is just...blargh....hate it.

I prefer to see someone say they didn't like the ending, rather than insinuate that it "sucked". It didn't personally appeal to you. I don't see anything wrong with that.

Just now finished the game... Personally loved the ending, so much pathos and emotion... Don't wanna spoil for anyone still playing, but I found it very satisfying. Bring on the DLC!!!

Already completed Tomb Raider... so now what..? Couple of months till The Last Of Us hits...

Maybe start BI again from the beginning :) Ahh, Elizabeth, I think I'm in love... :D

Started playing this last night, loved the original. I have to say, storyline and atmosphere is awesome so far, but the gameplay feels so dated to me. It's 2013, where are the regenerative health and cover system? There is a reason most games have adopted these features over the past few years - because they work.

Maybe it's my fault for playing on Hard from the start, but I'm finding it frustrating as hell right now.

:rotfl :rotfl at the above post. Grew up playing Call of Duty and Halo, other games are too hard because you aren't invincible by hiding in a closet for 30 seconds. Sorry but having grown up since Atari and stand up Arcades where dying actually costs you real money, that's just adorable. Most real gamers hate regen health systems FYI.

I'm not a real gamer? I bought my first console in 1990. Your above post highlights another issue I have with this game. There are no consequences to dying, you just instantly respawn around the corner.

You don't have to like my opinion, but did you need to be a **** about it?

Yes, because your way of thinking is why I have played the past I dunno 4 Call of Duties all the way through without a single death. It's boring. You're supposed to die in video games, being that old you should know some of the funnest games are unwinnable, you simply play til you die and acheieve the high score.

You want really serious cosequences in this then play on 1999 mode. It's the way it should be from the get go but too many people would have complained about buying back in after you die. It makes the scrounging and survival aspects key as they should be. You can unlock it without having to beat hard if you simply google the code you need to enter. Other than that, of course it's going to feel like Bioshock, its a first person shooter with mutant powers in a fictional gimmick city. They evolved that system with skyline combat, tears, and a partner in a way that kept the feel of the original intact but added new smooth layers.

Nice! I cleared all my saves and downloaded that again so maybe I messed it up. :lol I'll finish on the game and come back to see if its there. If not I may try something else or just accept I may not get this one.

I had never downloaded the DLC before. But I did clear my cache before I downloaded the DLC....so maybe that had something to do with it?

It does cost you $$ to respawn...and the harder the level the more it costs. On 1999 mode it costs $100 each time and if you don't have enough $$ then it's game over. You can load a past save...but you do need to be aware of your $$ especially before big battles.

I tried clearing the cache and then downloading again. Im sure I can get it fixed for when I'm ready. Just want to get the annoyance of figuring it out now. :lol

Once I did that, I could disable the vita chambers in the options menu. If you don't see that option...then there is something else going on.
