What you should really hope for is that everything that sucks bombs. That makes more sense. It doesn't happen, but it makes more sense.

But most reboots/sequels suck, so it still makes no sense.

Those who passed on 2049 have never seen a miracle.

Just saw this film, which I liked quite a bit, but will need more time to fully process. In terms of technical skill and execution of the production, you couldn't have asked for anything better. As a sequel and extension of the original film, I'm not sure anyone could have done a better job either. At the same time, it didn't feel completely fulfilling to me. But then, Blade Runner was never really about that I suppose. I think I'll be buying the Blu-ray, which I almost never do for films. But this is one I think I'll be coming back to every once in awhile. Just like I do the original Blade Runner. And appropriately, I just got a chance to open this tonight as well. Should be putting my full figure together pretty soon.
