I'm all for complaints and criticisms, but within reason. Some people have a tendency to react like a particular statue was a slight against them, and that how dare the makers not make the piece that was in their head.

Yeah like those people who find the slightest nit pick like I think something was wrong with the Amazing Spidermans suit where the neck line was, or those other people that can complain about the Batman suit and draw all those circles all over it. :cuckoo:

I always thinks its incredibly unfair to the sculptors who spend time trying to create a piece to the best of their abilities and have it completely trashed just because it isn't absolutely perfect in someones eyes or what they wanted.
Its much more rational to say, as thankfully the majority do,you know this is good but it's not quite there, this one's not for me.

Yeah best way to approach things.

They're are of course those pieces where the general consensus is that they are pretty terrible but thankfully due to complaints and criticisms on forums like these that's becoming rarer, at least I hope so anyway.

Its a slippery slope sometimes when you think about it. :dunno

I personally find his pose refreshing & has a natural flow to it. Adding his expression (or non-expression to some) to the presentation, it looks to me like he was captured in mid motion, slightly cautious & sizing Dan up before the attack.

This is definitely one of Arnie's better work in my opinion & I like it a lot. Like most neutral expressions, different angles & lighting will give off different impressions.
Interestingly, I even see a hint of smirk in this pic.

Ah yes, perception is truly a wonderful thing.

:goodpost:

Yeah looks very similar! Good job at finding that pic, people really wanted to see how the statue matches up with a scene from a movie and looks like you have delivered. :wink1:

Wow Another good find, never noticed the smirk! :clap

if the jaw/face was thinner and the mouth altered it would be a pretty good comparison.but you can see bruce's attitude in the pic,but not in the sculpt.which maybe too hard to capture:dunno

Going by most of Arnie's previous works I would have to say yes, it is too risky. I am glad the sculpt looks the way it does because sculpts with these neutral expressions are what Arnie excels at. We wouldn't want another head sculpt that was a fail like his EB WOTD Statue sculpt.

However, I think his smiley WOTD sculpt is the best he has ever done though. Which is ironic considering most of his non neutral sculpts were usually fails.

Been looking for something like this. Cheers :D

Yeah this pic below looks similar to it.

Anyone know if an ES has been announced?
I've got preorders that are almost ready to ship. $600 all at once is steep.

i tried to pre order from my laptop and its stuck on that pre order page but able to fill out a form when i do it on my cell phone..weird; anyone have luck ordering from blitz? didn't get a email with payment info yet either, wonder if they will advise on shipping cost when they do?

So I tried to have a quick go at shipping costs.

Blitzway just gives a vague, 'it'll be charge at standard FedEx/DHL shipping rates.

Going to FedEx HongKong:
https://www.fedex.com/ratefinder/home?cc=hk&language=en
I put in the details for a 14Kg box from Hong Kong to Melbourne with International Priority Shipping and it came to about $250 !!!

lulz really would help to get some more info from Blitzway here.....

(by comparison Sideshow charge about US$70 to get a 1/4 PF statue from the US to my house)

Such a beautiful overall piece for a great price.

Not sure i would want my name on that plate though. It's pretty cool, but risky if you decide to sell it later.
