It's beginning to bug me as well.

I mean, I like the expression the first time I saw it, but I'm no longer sure this is what I would want as my only piece to represent Bruce. In other words, when I think of Bruce Lee, his expressions are hardly anything but neutral. That is not the look of a dragon.

Same here. The statue is expensive as it is (it's cheap for what you get, in comparison to other manufacturers, but $600 is still a lot of money), and with so many good collectibles coming out between now and end of the year, I'll have to draw the line somewhere. Can't get everything.

I know what you mean by 'cheap for what you get' (because its 1/3 scale) but I'm not sure that's really the case either.

It measures 71cm high even with a large base ....(since Bruce was short and skinny!)

Conan: Fury of the Beast is only 1/5 scale but because of the massive gorilla its 70.5cm high and a lot more detailed. Its $500.

Conan: Rage of the Undying PF is 1/4 but Conan is a big dude and its a huge base (with skeleton warrior) and its 68.5cm high and $460

(you can tell I'm also into Conan with these examples right? )

And those 2 offerings are considered expensive compared to other Sideshow offerings.

I think we need to separate the words '1/3 scale!' from the actual dimensions here. I don't think it is necessarily great valuable for money.

When you put it like that, doesn't sound all that cheap, lol. It is fairly detailed though, going by the pics. One of the most realistic looking statues I've seen. Still, $600 is a lot of money, and if shipping is like $150-200, this will be a definite pass for me. At least for the time being anyway. Don't want to blow too much money on collectibles.

guys the bottom line here is that the head is terrible..pose sucks...base too big!!! its not really about the price or shipping!! If head and pose was spot on none of us would b talking about it..it would have been a done deal and SOLD!

But the truth here it is not spot on and in todays collecting world with so many statues and figures being made and offered there is no room for stuff ups!!! companies cannot get things wrong anymore...bruce lee is a fkng icon and it really is not good enough!!!

Hold on to your money because the statue which will be spot on might be closer than you think!!!

opinions,opinions.opinions LOL..i'm not saying the sculpt doesn't look like bruce,it really does,but even in a calm/relaxed ''mode'' bruce always seemed to have some form of intensity,be it eyes or expression. is what i'm trying to say.

The fact that I'm second guessing the piece means I might just pass. Maybe.

When I look at a statue and the first thing I think is "wow, cool base" then it's a pass. I'm fine with the likeness and it's a well detailed piece, but... something this big and this iconic deserved a signature pose and expression imo.

totally agree..cheap but not cheap..we want the definitive BL and for me,this aint it..close but not close enough.something like a modern ETD B sculpt/open mouth(bruce always had an animated? mouth with the nunchuks if you follow). would have looked great,that's the kinda sculpt I would have liked.rather than when he was looking at kareem at the end saying ''let me pass'' which it seems to remind me of. a bit like my SIG below LOL WOULD BE GREAT

I don't mind the expression. I think it works.

The face itself looks wrong for Game of Death though.
He was always ripped but he lost a lot more weight throughout his short film career and his face got progressively lean (and then even gaunt).

I don't know why people can not see this. The face is lean you can see his bone structure like cheek bones and there no ounce of fat on his face. The problem is the shape of the face, it is too wide and masculine with big cheek bones, like an Arnold schwarzenegger face or someone with prominent bone structure. I think it is the width of the face that is making people think it is fat.

If you want to give an example of an inaccurate body fat % then EB WOTD is it. The EBWOTD 1/4 one has no bone structure at all (apart from Rovos proto), that face looks too fat (due to lack of bone structure) because he was quite lean in WOD as you could see his cheek bones.

The head is not terrible but is far from perfect, however despite the faults like most Arnie's head sculpts it still resembles Bruce, just not dead on.

Though as an update......Arnie Kim just posted a pic of the sculpt on his Facebook page that makes it look much better under natural lighting conditions.

I'm not sure what they've set up.
I pressed the button to try to figure out shipping ...and it took me to a small form to fill out with basic details (no credit card or financial details asked or given) and a red message just says 'shipping will be calculated at Fedex/dhl international rates'

I pressed the button thinking it would take me through to the next screen .....and it just brought up a message that says, 'request successful'

Did I just pre-order? lulz.... well they don't have any financial details so I don't think so .... maybe they send an email to my account now?

Okay, In the fine print at the bottom it says they'll send a confirmation order to complete the order later.

Not happy with their lazy, 'we'll figure out shipping later' part....

Still not even close to deciding if I'll actually go ahead.

Ahh.. well maybe the face could be even leaner (if that is possible) but the fact you can see strong cheek bones proves that the face is not chubby or fat like it was in FOF and Big Boss. I mean what do u think would have to be done to make the face look even leaner?
