Well, someday they'll all be on just one or the other. It's just too early to definitively tell when and which format.

So far, this has almost been like a college football game that goes back-and-forth with huge swings of momentum. Blu-Ray got off to an early lead, but HD DVD just scored a couple of times. Now it's up to Blu-Ray to respond or risk losing the game.

HD DVD is going to be around for a while, folks:

90,000 HD DVD players sold in one weekend

.

:google

BD better have someting up its sleeve, that is A LOT of units!!!

Also I went to my WalMart yesterday and thay had a ton of HD DVD titles for sale, last week the 5 titles.

Yep... and that is precisely the type of effect more player sales will have on disc sales overall.

And you're right... Blu-Ray better swallow their damn pride and come up with something quickly to boost hardware sales of their own or their edge on disc title sales will go "poof!" before they can even spell S-O-N-Y.

Yup, a few weeks ago my WalMart had NO HD DVD videos and about 10 BD. Then it went to only 3 BD titles and about 5 HD DVD. Now there is more than 20 HD DVD title and All they had for BD was Spiderman 3 and Casino Royale.

just remember that i predicted this a couple months ago!!!! except that i said it was gonna be a $200 HD DVD player at wal mart.... this was before the $99 player was announced.

I for one hope BD wins based only on the fact that I own an PS3. I only have about 6 movie on it and I dont plan and getting a lot, just a few movies here and there.

Maybe sometime next year I will pick up an HD DVD player. Originally I had ZERO plans to do so, but its hard to say what i will want in a few months.

Either way I have commited a small amount of money into BD so I dont stand to loose much if BD dies out.

They should rename this the "I have a huge HD-DVD Boner" thread. :lol

:lol:lol:lol

Lately there has been a lot of HD boner talk in this thread - i think ever since Transformers was announced.

but there have definitely been a fair amount of BD woody's here!

Well, I have both. So it's kinda like having 2 wives. But yes, HD DVD is giving me a huge boner right now... because it is the only one who's been putting out lately. :monkey5

:lol
Yeah, well I got Ratatouille and Cars on BD yesterday. Can HD-DVD only owners say the same? :p :D

Who cares about derivative CG animated kiddie flicks when you can look at Megan Fox in HD? :monkey5

:lol
Megan Fox has had her 15 minutes, my girl Jessica Biel would CRUSH her with her 'Buns of Steel'! :rock :drool
