Yes, Casino Royale is definitely one of my reference titles to show of Blu-ray. I just picked up another one, Ratatouille. It looks positively three dimensional.

Ratatouille is amazing on Blu-ray. It was really one of the first movies that my wife watched on Blu and was completely blown away by it. She's now added Planet Earth and a lot of movies to our Blu collection :D

Looks even better. We tuned in every night when it aired, watched it in HD (of course we were blown away then), but it's even better on Blu. Watched Deep Ocean last night in fact.

I would actually be surprised if it were anything but better. Broadcast HD is good, sometimes great, but it is limited to MPEG-2 compression, and the bandwidth for the video is much lower than either HD DVD or Blu-ray. Not to mention the fact that it is subject to transmission interference, which can cause serious macroblocking.

A well-authored HDM disc will always look moderately-to-significantly better than broadcast, and Planet Earth is a very well-authored set.

Well I just mailed away my form for the 5 free HD-DVD movies today. :lol

It's OK, I'm still waiting for mine for the HD player I bought 6 weeks ago.

I just need to find a decently priced second BR player now.

Indeed it is Robo. I'm just blown away during some of the episodes, especially the underwater stuff, because it almost looks CG/3D ish.

I had my form filled out for about a month sealed in an envelope and I kept forgetting to mail it. I'm not too worried about how long it will take to get them, there weren't really any titles on the list that I had to have. I just couldn't pass up a $99 HD-DVD player with 5 free movies.

Not sure if this was posted yet, but Amazon is having a huge Blu-ray sale. Lots of titles!

Looks like I'm adding more titles to my Blu catalog! :rock

Thanks BNC!!

Ratatouille is STUNNING, I loved it in the theater and drooled when I watched in in HD for the first time.

I know, I just bought it 3 weeks ago for $40 more. I need to call tomorrow and have them credit me the difference. I love Amazon!!!

there was another price drop($150 now) on the A-3 so email or call amazon and get your refund for the difference!!!

I'm adding too many movies to my Blu-Ray collection :(
And I've only had the player for 4 days!!!

Thanks a lot!! I wish it were still the BOGO, but I can finally get Close Encounters for under $25. You are too awesome!

Close Encounters looks fantastic on Blue Ray, they really did a great job with the transfer and in the box it comes with a great timeline to spell out the changes between the 3 different versions.
