Ok, did the 2nd and final round of Mods to Boba and am 100% happy. I pretty much took care of curving the ab-armor last week, so all I did yesterday was trim the plastic backing and heat it a little more. I won't post pics since that area has been pretty much covered. The two things that were still bugging me was the collar armor overlapping the chest pieces and the cod piece sticking out at an angle.
The cod piece was easy, it just needed to be pulled down farther on his hips and it lays flat now.
The back/collar armor doesn't seem to be an issue on most of the figures in pics that have been posted but mine couldn't be adjusted to look right without doing some cutting. All I had to do was use a dremel to make the screw holes in the back armor slightly oval/taller. Now when the armor is put back it can be moved slightly lower and the collar armor sits perfectly above the chest pieces. Here's some before and after pics:

Looks great, N-K. Just got my Boba yesterday and the shoulder plate is overlapping the chest plates, so good to have a solution at hand. Thanks for the info. Looks 100% better when all the plates are nicely seperated.

Doing this as soon as I get home as I have the saem problem with the overlapping collar armor:

What's weird is, not everyone seems to be having the issue with the overlapping collar armor, just some figures.

I was able to futz the collar on mine without modifying the screw holes, but it doesn't stay in place too well so I may still do the mod.

Yes...their being serious....anything to sell more razors I guess?

Are you doing the mods pre or post shave? :lol

:lol:lol My wife doesn't require me to manscape with a razor and I'm hoping Boba feels the same.

Looks like an easy fix for those who do have that issue though. I noticed that it was just abut the only thing that didn't look perfect on yours post-vest mod.

I'm sure there's slight variations in regards to exactly how each vest is stitched and where the armor plates are attached, which would likely affect how each vest happens to fit. The holes in the back plates may not all be drilled in exactly the same place either. I guess it's the luck of the draw.

Good luck with yours! :duff

I am hoping that the vest I ordered from TA gets here today as well. I am going to do every mod on it that has been posted here to get that vest looking good.

But I also ordered an extra back armor oiece in case I need to dremmel out the screw holes.

I'm going to hold off on taking the sides in till I get the figure in hand.

Looks like an easy fix for that issue... I have a spare vest coming from TA today, so I was going to start my mods. Can't wait!
Cool, I didn't think TA would part Boba out. Very wise to get some extra parts in case something goes wrong with the mods.

I scrambled over to their site as I was hoping that they'd also be selling the Bespin base individually (wanted one for Bossk :monkey2), but if they did, looks like it's already sold. Kind of curious what they'd price it at.
