I don't think so, she looks like a boring house wife type...its the hair, too professional and Barbra Bush-esque looking.

I see. I just felt Weir deserved better than he got. Not into a podium postition because of his score on his short program but a higher score for his freeskate. He skated very, very well...other than his small, but noticable mistake on that tucked spin of all things. It seemed the crowd and announcers felt the same. There were quite a few boos. But you're right about one thing...you reap what you sow. And his unconventional and controversial style hurts him in the arena.

Believe me, they held back on the score because they knew the top skaters still had to skate yet. I hate that so much but it's always been that way in skating. I believe you should get the score you deserve, even if there's a three way tie for Gold.

Speaking of medals, gold or otherwise, I really don't care for the medals this year. They're all whopperjawed. Blah!

I believe the symbol behind the rings on the medal is native, which is fitting for Vancouver but, i do think they are ugly..too artsy looking, like it was obviously designed straight from a computer.I am not a fan of that, they should be hand crafted and a more intricate design but, not too busy looking.

Only because Plushenko retired. He was the hands down favorite going in. Everyone knew it.

Hands down is debatable....maybe a slight favorite. Shaun White was a Hands Down favorite. And it means nothing. Plushenko should have stayed retired...He got owned, and now he's whining about it. No one is shocked Lysacek won....hence the term "Gold medal contender".....which he was.

Two More medals for the USA Today......

A SILVER and BRONZE in the Mens super G ...the USA is at 20 medals now.

When it comes to men's skating in the Olympics, almost every time, someone claims they were robbed. Sometimes it's justified, sometimes not. In this case, it was just too close. It could've went either way.

I also read that each medal is unique. None have the same symbol pattern.

Yea, thats right.I do like how shiny they look and i think they have braille on the back of them as well,a neat detail i like about these.

But he did retire, and came back simply to try and win back to back gold. If he would've not retired, and he won the world championship, he MAY'VE won the gold.

When an American wins skating gold over Russians they always whine. It's a given nowadays.

Having looked over the individual scores of the two skaters, even though Plush did a quad, Evan did more combos.

Elvis Stojko was the King of the Quad in his day, but he still didn't get gold.

I miss Elvis :monkey2

Yea Elvis was a great skater, he is actually from a town called Newmarket just 40-60mins from me, i think they named a rink after him there as well.

Don't forget Kurt Browning, another great Canadian figure skater.

So the Canadian (who was in the running for the bronze in a tight race at the sixth spot-- not the one that's currently in the silver position with one more run to go) was disqualified in the men's skeleton for not getting his sled to the proper place prior to the race...

WHAT..........????????????????????? :confused::confused::confused:

Kurt was good too, but I always enjoyed watching Elvis.

I can't believe he moved to Mexico of all places! He said he needed to thaw out. I guess he's lived there for 8 years.

He still has that nice ass. :D
