Well actually no, countries like Sweden,Norway and Swistzerland.. their kids learn how to Ski before learning how to walk lol!, at least what i hear long ago from Leif a Swedish guy i went to school with.You really have to look at our population compared to USA, like i said..Canada's total population is about the same as just California.Considering where we place in the medal standings, its a job well done for a country of far less people and athletes in total.

Hockey and Curling i think are more popular here in Canada, skiing sure but, that seems more like a recreational thing Canadians enjoy doing from time to time.
