Thanks for that final mock up devil, even more excited now :rock

Tom Cruise "stand in head", you mean you've never seen "Back to the Risky Business?"

:lol

I got my unpainted sculpts like saturday, but opened them today, they kick ***, Spenser really nailed both of them. Thanks alot. :clap

Can anyone using a slim TT on their Marty bash post some pics once they have it together? I'm curious to see how the outfit looks on the body...

I hate looking at headless figures, so I threw the standard TT head with some aviators on the bash...not half bad for a temp mug :lol

Honestly you did such an excellent job on the figure from the neck down that everyone would know who this is at a glance no matter what head you put on it.

That said, I still can't wait to see Spenser's head on their! :rock

Marty & Doc's heads arrived today, coincidentally at at same time as the rest of Marty's outfit! So I quickly threw everything onto a slim TT (which I had originally purchased for Ghostbuster Winston, hence the brown neck & wrist pegs.) Here are a few swift shots with my hideous flash camera:

Here's one next to Venkman to give you an idea of the height difference. Venkman is on a narrow shoulder TT and Marty is on a slim:

Obviously, I need to do a lot of work on the clothing. The jacket is MUCH darker than what I expected so a quick bleaching may be in order. It looks OK in the photo, but the flash washed it out. The vest needs to be dyed red and the sneakers need the red swoosh.

To be honest, the clothing might be a smidge too big for a slim. Maybe it will shrink in the wash?

I'm also thinking Marty's head may be sitting too low in the collar. Maybe I just need to futz with the clothing, maybe I need to bring it up a 1/4 inch. I'll post some more photos in the next day or two as I work on him!

Looking GREAT Micro! Some careful futzing will really make him AWESOME! Everything looks great to me in terms of the gear. I have all of it on the way (except the jeans...I always found those one's a bit baggy for Marty, since he wore more lighter colored slim-fits, so I tried another pair...I'll keep you posted on how they work out when I get them...)

Can't wait to see this guy shape up though. I'm excited to get mine going too! :rock :rock :rock

Looks great so far. Spencer did a really good job on the sculpts.

Looks good Micro, not sure about the TT slim though...I think it's the right size for MJF but the clothes need some tailoring, and I have no skill in that area whatsoever :slap I may just try to make Doc slightly taller on a Pro...

So let's talk about that paisley design that appears to be printed either on the inside of Marty's jean jacket or on the cuffs of his shirt. Any thoughts on where / how to get a 1/6 swatch of that fabric to include at the rolled-up cuffs?

- J

I like marf's answer to that which is just rolling and cuffing the checkered shirt, it's close enough for me being that small, but I do look forward to seeing if you can make a more accurate liner.

Both of your Marty's look great.

I was thinking about that as well, but I'm waiting to see what Betomatali offers, there's a chance he may produce the jacket. I'm hoping he does, since the cuffs aren't the only thing our jackets are missing!

I love Spensor's work, but that Marty looks too old. hehe

Does look a bit like present day MJF.

Still a great piece though!

Would like to see which jeans you picked up since I'm leaning towards NOT using the ACI pair.

I already have them on another project and I know they will be too big for (my) Marty.

OK, I took a little more time dressing Marty this morning and I'm starting to think the slim TT is the way to go. The clothing fits pretty tight as it is, I couldn't imagine trying to stuff a bigger body into these pants. The waist is straining.

Again, apologies for the low-quality photos under my office's so-so lighting conditions...

Other than needing a caucasian neck plug, the head sits at a good height so thankfully I won't have to extend it any. The shirt collar should come down a bit once I anchor the bottom of the shirt deeper. I'm thinking of removing the shirt buttons and replacing them with something smaller.

The vest is currently MIA... I removed the velcro strips last night and will be doing the dye job tonight.

Looks great, MicroJow!!!!

Has anyone else thought of using a Sideshow Pro body? Ben is planning on remaking the clothes on our current Marty; new vest, jacket, and shirts. The Pro body has a really good height for Marty IMO. I'll post pictures once we receive Spencer's sculpt and paint it up. I CAN'T WAIT!!

Congrats, again, MicroJow.
