So I'm on the fence about getting a jacket. I kind of want to wait for betomali to see if he is going to do Marty as well as doc.

Just bought the vest though since I don't see how one could be improved that much.

I can't wait to complete these figs...although it's fun to piece them together that's for sure.

I know what you mean, it's like I always have to have a bash going now or I'm not happy...I'm done with Marty for the time being (save the head o' course) so now I'm searching for something new :slap

I think the triangles are essential. Maybe just my opinion.

Here's a better shot of the jacket my brother made:

He's going to make a new one. There are a couple of details he missed. One of which being the sleeves are too long. We are planning to put the new head and clothes on a Prometheus body. I can't wait!!!!

Honestly I would skip the triangle patterns. They are just to...idunno... 80's. :lol

I know to be totally acurate you would need to include them, but I never would have noticed without the screen cap, and I think the figure will look better without them.

Well, the movie was made in 1985. It is essential on the jacket. Otherwise, what is the point?

As long as we are nitpicking - you also need the "Art in Revolution" button for his jacket.:)

I think that customizing should be about nitpicking. I am a sucker for the details. Also, imagine how many people would go insane if they were not on there if a company like Hot Toys did not include them, and would say Sideshow doesn't care about their customers, etc.

Yeah, one way or another I'll eventually put the triangles on mine, too. But as far as the pin, suspenders and Calvin Klein underwear, I'm not going to complain if I never find / get around to them since they can't be seen beneath all the other clothing. I'd be more anxious to get a screen-accurate backpack before, say, the suspenders & pin.

You guys are probably right about the sleeves.

I tend to put accuracy after preference. The unmatched tusks on my ANH Darth Vader drive me crazy and it's all I can do to keep myself from painting the black one silver! :lol

This jacket looks great in pictures. It looks incredible in person! Ben didn't miss a single detail. He had to hand sew 90% of the jacket. You can definitely see his progress from early 2009 with the old jacket.

That looks great! Are you guys going to do a run of these? I would be down for one...

Here is the jacket that I just finished the other day.

A comparison with the last jacket that I made.

Great job on the jacket looks much better compared to the original.

Guess its too labour and time consuming to make more but if you are I will be interested.

Just finished up Marty's video camera. It's not completely screen accurate, but it's as close as I could get with what I had!

Ben is very flattered by your compliments. We have discussed it, and logistically, it would be too difficult to produce at a price that most would find reasonable.

Plus, we've been unable to find the same materials Ben used for this jacket which were almost perfect to start with. The grey denim was dyed ever so slightly with dark blue.

Thanks again for your compliments and interest.

I guessed as much and am realising now how much effort and time has gone into this project so congrats.

Just seen the dinky camcorder excellent job:)

BUMP! I'm really looking forward to these heads. I wish I could start getting my Doc figures together. Unfortunately I have no money.:monkey2 Marty definitely looks weird with that Dragon head. I couldn't be more pumped for these sculpts!
