So any word on when these will be up for sale? They seemed to be on top of things leading up to SDCC... now its all quiet?

Go Hero has a myspace page, so I contacted them. They replied and said that right now they were updating the site, but were getting it set-up so the can begin taking pre-orders soon.

I also asked about the basebody and was told they are expecting production samples soon.

So, looks like its still on... just a few delays getting things together.

Thats what I'm here for... so not definite dates, but at least good to know these didn't just disappear.

Just spoke with Steve Forde from Gohero. Buck will be available on his site within 2 weeks tops. I gathered that the window of opportunity for ordering this run probably won't last that long. This man's enthusiasm is infectious. This is obviously a labor of love for him. I think this small company will be very large by this time next year. He has a lot of ideas for future releases and I think they are products that will be VERY well received by the Freaks membership.

I certainly wish him well, but enthusiasm does not a large company make. This is an incredibly obscure license and I don't see enough Buck's selling to make it worthwhile. But if it's a hobby and he's got some deep pockets, I'm sure we'll see more cool stuff before he gets tired of bleeding money.

As for likeness - no company will risk doing a likeness of a actor without contracting for the rights (well, except HT). That's why Sideshow never did Colin Clive in the Universal Monsters line - no one could be found to license the likeness from. And if likeness isn't specifically named in the actor's contract for the film then it isn't included. When these films were made collectibles weren't even considered.

Trust me. Buck is just the beginning. He has a lot more than enthusiasm in his pocket.

Thanks for the info I go to the site at least once a day looking for the pre order.

I have a feeling the low exposure and niche nature of the figure will make it "relatively" easy to get. But I plan to keep up with it.

Yeah, I'm doing the same. And supposedly they are adding something extra if you order through them.
