Those are also good choices indeed. But to keep me from getting on the possible never ending mythos line I went with the pair since they are SW to me and the only representations from SW in my collection.

Hey guys, have a look at my R2-D2 that just landed yesterday.
They just "forgot" to paint two panels on R2's head. Can you believe that? Not to mention C-3PO's face paint job doesn't match at all the rest of the body.

Sideshow's QC just sucks. Or perhaps it closed down a few years ago and nobody noticed? I'll have to go through the hassle of their consumer service, but I'm in Europe and I guess it will take ages. After Indy's PF brownish hue and rotten jacket, Kenobi Mythos that arrived broken in two at the belt with an a molding issue, I'm definitely through with Sideshow.

Sorry myc... I just registered here after years of lurking. I felt I had to share my story, such a lack of quality control is unbelievable. We're not talking about some small detail on the back of R2's foot. About 20% of the blue paint in the FRONT of R2's dome is missing. And nobody noticed. On a $750 set. Come on.

My retailer tells me Sideshow is informed and that they'll send me directly a new dome, but doesn't know how long it will take. The real funny part is he has other sets in stock, but he's got to stick to Sideshow policy... Let's keep our fingers crossed, myc.

We're not talking about some small detail on the back of R2's foot. About 20% of the blue paint in the FRONT of R2's dome is missing. And nobody noticed. On a $750 set. Come on.

Your retailer took the easy way out, like a d-bag. He should have replaced your set and waited for the replacement himself.
