Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Is there suppose to be a 'prestige' edition or whatever they call it. The more expensive edition that they did for Black Ops and MW2?

I'm a cod fan and I'll buy this of course. I am a bit disappointed that it looks identical to MW2. I'm sure it'll be fun and ridiculous and infuriating and addictive like a COD game always is, but for whatever reason, thought they might at least attempt to bring something new to the presentation. The new footage could easily pass as MW2 DLC footage. There's new stuff, but still in the same game.

This i don't get, you're automatically gonna buy it even though you've stated all the reasons why you shouldn't.

THIS IS WHY activison/infinity/treyarch makes the same game with a few changes, cos people buy it even if it's the same and they have no incentive to really modernize.

I wish the hardened was only 80 not sure if I want regular or hardened but hardened seems the way to go cause of the one year subscription to call of duty elite and access to all map packs. so many awsome games being released to close together.

Im all about COD, but so far I think I might actually pick up BF3 instead and worse case scenario trade it in if I cant get into it and go ahead and pick up MW3. MW3 looks awesome, but just to similar to the MW2. Mind you this is after I decide I need a break from gears. So hopefully by then they'll be enough info out so I can make the better choice.

It concerns me though that all the battlefield 3 footage is just of the pc for the most part I wish they would show the mutiplayer of the console versions so I can see how good it looks and plays.

'cause the 10 year olds who play MW don't care about realism. they believe that you can kill 25 soldiers in real life and call in a nuke.

Yep that my biggest concern also. Like I said Im going to wait, but if I find out all the footage is all PC then yeah im just going to jump back on the MW3 train. Ive been a long time fan of COD MW and havent played BF since BF2 was first released and i played it on a PC back when it first came out...it was awesome, but never touched the Bad Company games or anything. Just didnt have the same feel as the PC version and didnt stack up to MW in my opinion.

* I didnt see that video VASith posted. Again so far looks good. This one looks good that I might be playing some BF3. Really just depends on where people are playing I guess.

I really like modern warfare too and just like you didnt care for the bad company games I will wait to see the reviews on battlefield 3 but in battefield 3 you have vehicles which could be good or bad how you look at it bad being evryone just riding around in vehicles and no one on foot.

Yeah see I dont care all that much about graphics, im about game play and the COD games are always what Ive played, but looking to switch it up. Regardless I know myself and I have a feeling i'll still end up on MW3

Agree man, my only complaint is that it looks like part 2 and I dont mean graphically I just mean it looks like the same game, but your right thats not going to stop me from playing it.

Yep, I love the idea of vehicles, but your right...that could be good or bad.

People keep saying they want something different, but really how would they change this other than guns, killstreaks, other weapons, maps, physics etc.

After all, bf3 looks just like a not-horrible bc2 with the same slow and tactical gameplay the series is known for. But hey, better lighting effecs right?
