I would still recommend this over Black Ops. I believe the MW engine is better than the one Treyarch has concocted. Treyarch games have bigger lag and hit detection issues that drive me crazy. These things are in MW games too, but not as noticeable. For that reason alone, I prefer Infinity Ward games. I'd always recommend trying both though. You ma not mind the things I do.

As much as i liked Black Ops, why waste the money on an old game, just wait for MW3 to hit and pick that up for sure.

Black Ops has some bad lag. Never thought about it but the MW games are better online.

I disagree. Buy the old one used, and by the time you're done with it, MW3 will be cheaper. Same games ... less money.

yeah but in games like this...most people will have moved on at that point. If you just want the campaign sure, but if your looking for online play...its not going to be in Black Ops when MW3 is out. I agree with this philosophy for most games, but in my opinion when it comes to "block buster" games like this the crowd tends to jump ship and head to the next best thing. So again if money isnt an option go for the newer title.

Amazon finally has release day shipping for 99cents on the hardened edition si I preordered figured it was the way to go to have the 1 year of call of duty elite to get all the download maps for free.

I'm sure players will eat (and drink) this up.

Pepsi Cross Promotion

The promotion is called “Rank Up XP,” and the long and short of it is that by buying certain Pepsi products, namely Mountain Dew and Doritos, players can redeem codes in the packaging for Double XP time in Modern Warfare 3. A 20 oz gets you 15 minutes, a 12 pack gets you 45, and so on.

Wow. I'm a pepsi product kind of guy. Mountain Dew is my soda of choice. Looks like I'll be getting lots of double XP.

this close to release it isn't really a beta, more a demo, i expect game to go gold soon

but no worries, the BF3 beta will be based on earlier build

Once again Battlefield gives us a beta, and MW3 gives us nothing. I will be going for the game that wants iron out the bugs before pay our hard earned cash

:lol Wow okay...

That is what they pay game testers for. They don't have to give us a beta or a demo to get all the bugs out of it. In fact, the BF3 thing isn't really a beta test as I don't see anywhere where we can submit our problems with the game. It's more of a "play and get excited for the game" demo than a beta. Plus it's buggy and full of problems. This close to release I'm sure the game is in it's final stages and not really able to be altered with any info from this beta test. What we are getting to play is probably not even their latest build of the game. At least I pray it's not.

Game testers can only test so much. They can test single player games really well but not MP. Betas are more a test of the servers , connections ect.. I would never do an open beta that allowed reporting of problems, they would get 1 million retarded complaints and a handful of real reports.

I can't even play the BF3 Beta on my PC.
Forever stuck at the joining server on the battlelog screen. When servers are free it will say its changing map soon or the server is full.

Battlelog is a failed system....seriously contemplating on getting this for the PS3 instead.

I think battlefield 3 is overated I played the beta on 360 it sounds good but the game is just horrible in my opinion it has so many bugs that I dont see getting fixed in just a couple of weeks untill release. The graphics are nothing speacial in my opinion either they arnt terrible but ive seen better on consoles.

The only really outstanding console games in term of graphics are always exclusives, MW3 wont be better or wose than BF3 as they're not Exclusives.

The Beta IS OLD, dunno how many time guys need to bring this up on the other thread, it was the same one used at gameshows for the past year.

Don't mind him, Nova. He's made up his mind as many have. Too bad for Dice and EA, but I dont think I'll miss them. No offense Angelo.

I've got BF on the brain, but I'm sure I'll be happy to hop back into MW3 once in a while. I think it's going to be a mess, but a fun mess a lot of the time like mw2 always was. Survival looks really promising.
