Used it all my life till about 6 years ago. It turns on you after a while (panic) I've gotten all i can get from it. Now it's time for the next level.

I used to smoke regularly, but the past 10 years or so, I've been prone to panic attacks when I cross a certain line. The older I get, the lower the line seems to get. I think I'm going to get serious and talk to a doctor because if there's something wrong with me that only produces symptoms when I smoke, I want it fixed. I hate not being able to burn freely.

I realize that, but for 10 years it wasn't a problem. The problem feels physical and if it can be fixed, I will do what it takes.

It happens to certain people. (from what i've been finding usually these people are quite intelligent/or spiritual) MCA of the Beastie Boys as well, it's nothing physical. It's a special kinda plant and it will let you know when you personally have gotten all you can from it.

Never understood the appeal. It gives me the sense of impending doom. And, in my experience, it turns most people into lazy idiots. One of my best friends started smoking pot a few years back and it completely changed her, and not for the better.

I personally just feel if you need pot to "relax" or "chill" or whatever, you have other underlying issues. But, I'm not a psychiatrist. That's just my own theory based off of my experiences with it and those who use it.

That said, I do still believe it should be legal. Everyone should be able to choose what to do with or put into their bodies.

I'm certainly not a regular consumer. But I have to admit, it's probably saved me from a stress-induced panic attic or two back in the day. I'm already a fairly laid-back dude (no, really) so that stuff puts me in a state of nirvana. Can't do it regularly, though. And not just for work reasons. I fear that "slacker burnout" thing too much. :lol

That said, I may just have to do it again the next time I'm out in the desert. That just seems like a Bucket List thing.

So, should every other drug also be legal under that logic? Meth, coke, Heroin....
Tough question of how much the law should intervene to save folks from themselves and human frailty. In New York they are starting to place restrictions on soft drinks. Obesity's a major problem, but. . .

Having said all that, the issue with harder, more instantly addictive drugs is that someone can use them to hook others, and a moment of weakness can lead to a lifetime of troubles. I think the government does have a role of protecting people when there are issues of public health, and this can mean infringing on an individual's freedom to do whatever he/she wants to him/herself. But I'm not sure where that line should be drawn. The illegality of pot makes little sense in the face of alcohol being legal IMO.

It's definitely interesting. I wonder how much (if at all) its legality would help the economy. The sale of it that is. Over the long run I'm sure it'd hurt the economy, lowering IQs substantially.

It would help a lot. For starters, it would generate tax revenue. If it were legal, legit businesses would pop up overnight. It would also cut down on a lot of law enforcement and legal costs.

I'm sure it would help in some way. There would be less money wasted on law enforcement for use of minor drugs, more tax revenue, and more economic productivity from producers and distributes.

But in the great scheme of things the help would probably be very marginal for any one drug industry, or even a handful of them. This wouldn't be the equivalent of fixing Medicare or anything.

I laugh at the stance some people take like it's heroin or meth. To me it's less dangerous than a beer. Glad I live in forward thinking California.
I don't understand that mentality. Many people including new drinkers can drink one beer with no effect. A number of people, especially new smokers, will get a buzz, probably with effects similar to being legally drunk, after taking one or two hits off a joint or a pipe. In my opinion, with things being as equal as they can, you will get messed up quicker from pot than alcohol. And yes it's been many years now, but I used to get high.

I am pretty sure I have been hotboxed a few times. My friends liked me to be around when they would partake because I made them laugh, but I never felt tempted to try.

I am pro-legalization.

Weed is nothing like what it's been portrayed as for the last 50 years or so.

Recent studies show weed that has been grown properly with no extras added etc, is far better for you health wise than most other legal consumables and/or over the counter drugs. It doesn't lower sperm count nor does it hinder the oxygen intake capacity. It's a million times better for you than alcohol and a billion times better for you than tobacco. This is a given....

There hasn't ever been a recorded death from cannabis, the only danger is you don't know whats in the weed if you don't know the source. Also depending what you smoke it with (tobacco).

IF you already have underlying mental issues, then it has the potential to make these worse OR better, also it can make you entirely lazy OR it can help you delve deeper into your creativity, it all depends on the person and how the person chooses to use it.

It's complete stupidity to even associate it with the likes of crack, herion, meth etc, open your eyes you silly people. Even if you don't like people that use weed or never have had the interest to use it yourself it should be blatantly obvious that it is nowhere even close to the destruction they bring into people lives.

As with a lot of things in life, it's not weed that's the problem. It's mankind
