Love getting a "cancelled Waitlist" notices a month ago and order a Reg; then get an email Friday saying my Waitlist converted.
 
Yeah. As amazing as this Cap came out, this was the last SS piece I had pre-ordered and I'm going to enjoy my vacation away from them for at least the next year or two. Sounds like I won't be alone either.

All the talk when I got into this stuff in 2010 was how amazing SS was for customer service and customer satisfaction. How often do you hear that anymore?

That happened to me, buddy, a few pages back. Ended up cancelling my EX since it won't fit in my BESTA without adjusting the shelves, but it's cool. Got a great deal on the REg.

Not very often and that's been within the last couple of years as far as I can tell.

I've yet to have any problems with Sideshow's CS department so I stand by everything good I've ever said about them over the years. :lecture

I was left really disappointed when told there were no replacements for my damaged Big Chap a week after it started shipping.
After a few emails I have a new regular on the way and a free Hot Toys Mark 33 to compensate for hassle and losing out on the Ex.
Best Customer Services ever!

First problem I've ever had with Sideshow and it was eventually resolved.

Edit: Tell a lie, I was disappointed they cancelled the Elder LSB :wink1:
 
If you get a double points offer, for those who've gotten and taken it before, do the double points show up right away in your pending points page? Mine is still showing the 400 it normally comes with but they said it will show up after 40 days? Is this true?

In the past all my pieces would come prestine, some couple of years back every other piece has come with a minor break, but sideshow has always come thru, I've been actually very surprised to have heard that they have turned people down.

Wow- glad to hear you got some satisfaction there Collectorcol! When I posted that earlier comment, all the problems people were having with the Alien bust recently was at the front of my mind. For some reason that piece seemed to have an inordinate amount of breakage- all in the same general area. And it didn't sound like SS was being all that sympathetic. I'm glad to hear they came through for you.

I truly hope everyone here with problems gets a satisfactory resolution with this one. So many figures are produced that elicit a sense of reverence from a distance (like the Superman PF).
This Cap has a much different feel to me- there's energy to it that makes it sheer fun to look at. I would hate to see anyone prevented from enjoying that aspect because of unfortunate QC and unsympathetic CS issues.

They show up as soon as the order goes through unless it has to be done by hand. Then in 40 days you can use the points or sit on them
