YES.... SS new releases or even newsletter, nothing exciting anymore for me at least. Now that shield, that is how it's DONE.

Darkseid and Spiderman have me excited for upcoming pieces POes, and Lobo looks awesome. However, I Rarely look at the newsletter anymore as the forums are my hook up for knowledge...lol

Your shield is unhealthy for my colon, Andy. I think I may have ****ted myself; twice! :horror :lol

Super awesome custom! :rock

Agreed that weathered was the route to go, one BD shield is legit enough, and a lot of the weathering of Cap would go well with the kite.

Shaun, mate, that's a great looking unmasked, you going with textured hair or slicked, either way; it looks great! :hi5::rock

I am going to have it wind blown to give it the impression that he is moving forward in the charge. I still have lots of work to do on it, and a lot of textures to add. I still have to go through the logic exercise of making sure it ican be fasted properly. I am glad you like it Doc, I hope you like the Ultimates and battle damaged looks work too. I do wonder if there will be any real interest for these...lol

Okay guys, I need your input on something :) now as you know I'm having a war torn flag on pole custom hand being made. Now the decision I have to make is do I have the pole of the flag at the same angle as shown in this pic?

Basically just imagine a pole running through his clenched fist as you see it above...

OR...

should I tweak the angle of the fist so that the pole would be angled more vertically?

Hope you understand what I mean....:lol :lol

Personally, I much prefer the pole to be more vertical cos just like as if he was holding a flamed torch using the original angle, the flame would be almost touching his helmet :horror so if we allow a little tweak of the wrist I can make it look more straight....let me know what you think?

I'm also thinking of a way to stiffen the fabric of the flag to allow some poseability rather than having it draped down....just to give it a sense of realism and like its been caught in the wind

I think it depends on the effect you are going for. If you want the statue to appear as though it's moving forward and leading the charge with the flag, I think you should match the angle of the hand as-is, but if you wanted it to have more of the crouched, planting the flag as a signal, you should tweak it more vertically.

You're the first Sith Beagle I've ever encountered. I've heard rumors, but those are definitely not true. :lecture :lol

Andy, I think you can twist the angle of the hand a tad without making the arm pose seem unnatural. This would tilt the flag back a bit more and look more natural. I tested it using the Thompson gun hand. Rotated it about 45 degrees and that should do that trick. It would still be tilted and look natural, but not too much where it would look like he's using it as a spear.

The rumors aren't justified!! You're good people. Totally don't deserve the bad rep. Ridiculous!!!

Shield is phenomenal! Any chance of a run?

Thanks buddy :) I've received a few PM's asking where I got the shield done. The talented customiser/painter is called James Tce and is contactable through some of the collector groups on Facebook if that helps :) If you need more help then just send over a PM and i'll try to point you in the right direction :)

I think it should be a pole running through his clenched fist, Andy, it looks more natural to me. :)

And I agree. Pole through hand as posed right now.

If you turn his hand anymore, it'll throw the machanics off in the entire arm

Hey guys, thanks so much for the great feedback :hi5: much appreciated. Though I think I may have not explained it properly but the pole was always going to placed inside his clenched fist :lol :lol not sure which way you were thinking I was going to do it :dunno and I've decided to listen to your input and stick with the original angle of the hand :) like some of you had said, by tweaking the angle of the wrist too much may interfere with the overall dynamics of the pose.

What I forgot to take into consideration was that Captain's body is in an action pose where he's stepping over rubble/buildings...had I'd gone with my plan to angle the wrist slightly in order to make the pole of the flag appear more vertical then it would look like he was standing still in a museum pose. Keeping the original angle will at least continue to keep the fluid motion of his physique in sync with the overall pose :)

Flag pics coming up this weekend :)
