I definitely think the original Cap deserves its grail status while this new statue has the potential to be a grail someday (in my opinion). I think that the multiple display options (3 switchable hands for EX and 2 shields) will make this statue interesting for collectors who missed out or will discover the hobby in the future. I missed out on the original Cap because I'm a relatively new collector but aside from the pose, I love the two shields that the original Cap PF had.

That's what I love about the original PF Exclusive. It's almost like two different statues. And this new PF is no exception. In fact, as you said, you get even MORE display options. I love it. It's similar to what they did with the Silver Surfer. I loved the concept of all of the options.

Agreed. Original Cap is one of the all time greats, IMO.

couldn't agree more with all your points JB and its also the reason why I couldn't pass on the EX. Its versatility is shown by it being able to display this with other comic based statues such as the Hulk PF aswell as the more modern movie pieces such as the Hulk Maquette

It is a great piece and like I said I believe the demand will be strong especially if Sideshow does not disappoint with the finished piece. My fingers are crossed...
