Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I'm starting to suspect someone has a mad crush on Hugo. "Don't you talk bad about my boo!" :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Daniel Day Lewis should come in to be Red Skull, make everyone's lives miserable for a month or two, and come away with a more memorable performance. Though I doubt he's follow up his new Academy Award for Lincoln (foregone conclusion) for a Marvel movie.

I wouldn't mind if we never saw him anywhere near a Marvel film. :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

I'm 98.5% sure you just made that up...

I'm 98.5% sure that I didn't; I recently read an article about this issue. As I recall, one of the people discussed was Val Kilmer declining to reprise Batman. That was perhaps Kilmer's stupidest decision out of an entire career's-worth of stupid decisions, but like I said its his career to wreck.

So recast the Skull or better yet, bring in a new villain. RS is important, but he's hardly Cap's only foe.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

If he isn't appearing with his normal face again, it wouldn't be too hard to recast. You don't need someone who looks exactly like Hugo Weaving if they are going to be in Red Skull makeup the whole time.

I think you just uncovered the reason he is no longer interested.

That or money. :lol

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Maybe he should have considered that before, oh I don't know, signing a contract to play a character that looks like this for five movies:

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Considering he became an A-list actor mainly from genre films he shouldn't be talking sh-t. Matrix, LOTR, Cap. America, Cloud Atlas, Transformers, Wolfman, V for Vendetta...

His biggest films all have a strong comic book or fantasy influence. He should be more respectful to the hand feeding him.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Go Micheal Bay. :yess:

From SHH:

Now, Michael Bay has responded on his website... (Editor's Note: The item has since been removed from his site. You can still read the text below.)

"Do you ever get sick of actors that make $15 million a picture, or even $200,000 for voiceover work that took a brisk one hour and 43 minutes to complete, and then complain about their jobs? With all the problems facing our world today, do these grumbling thespians really think people reading the news actually care about trivial complaints that their job wasn’t “artistic enough” or “fulfilling enough”? I guess The Hollywood Reporter thinks so.

What happened to people who had integrity, who did a job, got paid for their hard work, and just smiled afterward? Be happy you even have a job – let alone a job that pays you more than 98% of the people in America.

I have a wonderful idea for all those whiners: They can give their “unhappy job money” to a wonderful Elephant Rescue. It’s the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Africa. I will match the funds they donate.

Re: Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier

Don't you people have anything better to do than complain on the internet about what actors say? Think of the all the third-world children!
