Here we are again ...people who have seen it think it's fine, but uninspired . But let's face it, since phase one what's really to be inspired about?

And the usual suspects trashing it without stepping foot into the theater to see it.

Saw the film over the weekend and I enjoyed it. It was far better than the past few MCU films (Marvels, Ant Man 3, Black Widow, Wakanda Forever, Thor love and thunder, Eternals)

Pros:
- acting was solid, better performance from Mackie than from the show (so it probably had to do with writers/script) and Ford was better in this than the last Indy movie
- Red Hulk action scenes and action scenes in general were good
- more Isaiah
- new Falcon
- Sidewinder was a good addition and pretty menacing

It’s cool to hate on the mcu movies now. But I remember they couldn’t do any wrong back then. I honestly thought the mcu movies were good but it was never a definitive marvel universe. It wasn’t really a true marvel world. It was just the avengers, gotg, black panther with a sprinkle of Spider-Man and hulk. That was it. It wasn’t really a cool at times and fun but to me that wasn’t marvel. Without street level heroes in the films, mutants and the ff cast it felt so …. Hollow.

The first cap movie would have been a better film if wolverine or a black panther was in it. That movie just felt meh to me. Also I remember people hated those iron man sequels.

The mcu was fun sure but to me it was never a fully fledged marvel universe and now it’s weird they have all the characters but they are fumbling

Having all the characters works great in the comics, but it takes a lot of discipline and skill to make each one work on screen, and I think Feigi just ran out of talented creators who knew how to make that happen.

Plus I think audiences became far more attached to that core Phase 1 group than Marvel expected, and so once their stories were wrapped up with Endgame audiences decided it was time to move on.

For me there is zero superhero movie burnout give me a well constructed super intriguing superhero movie and I’ll be there opening night first show every single time, multiple viewings!

I grew up with these characters.

I love these characters.

Stop giving us crap and i’ll spend the money with zero hesitation.

All they need to do is form a group again. Nobody cares about eternals, captain marvel and her teen team or Shang chi or shuri . And nobody is gonna care about the thunderbolts and the team of nobodies.

They NEED to bring in characters that made marvel great in the first place. The characters that built marvel. None of this z list crap. It’s a damn shame blade gets side lined while crap like Agatha get green lit.

FF is getting huge fanfare cause they are characters people actually want to see. People could give to ***** about the characters they have now and that’s the problem. People wanted to see phase 1 characters interact cause even though they were c list at that time they built marvel into what it is today

You didn’t grow up with red hulk and Sam cap! You lie!

You are correct I did not with Rulk or Falcon as Cap.

I grew up with just Hulk and just Falcon.

I meant in general.

I grew up reading comics in the 70s, 80s, until early 90s when I stopped completely.

Girls lol

Thought the movie was pretty good. Didn't get a lot of the reviewer complaints about plot threads and such.

Mackie was excellent and Ford was great. I really like how they weaved Sam's backstory as a counselor into a lot of the plots. And also glad to see the "original" costume got some action at the start of the movie. Worst post-credits scene ever though.

And I really wish they would do a Disney + show on Isaiah Bradley, but that will sadly be a no-go in today's political climate.
