Hopefully this gets us a Speedball figure!!! :rotfl

More importantly, i very much hope we get an Iron Spider suit.

Team Cap all the way! (unless he somehow ends up being pro-registration)

Heh, I liked the Iron Spider outfit for what it was but god damn Civil War was my least favorite event. I'd rather have something from Secret Invasion, into Dark Reign, into Siege. That's an epic chain of events right there. I just personally think that Civil War was kind of pointless and just overrated BUT i'm hoping that the Russo's and writers of the film can improve on that storyline. I have faith in them. I mean...if this movie never happened, fanboys would just keep clamoring for it. But if anything, I do wish that Civil War took place after Infinity War so we could have all the heroes we can get. The roster for this movie just seems too small.

I absolutely hated Civil War when it came out, and as sensible as the premise was (and similar to the Mutant Registration Act, which no one outside of the X-Men gave a hoot about), the storyline/writing/art/everything just didn't do it for me. I also stopped reading Marvel crossover events after Civil War when the status quo kept changing (forever!) each summer. :gah:

So I'm a bit biased against the storyline, but I'm trusting the Russos to close out the Cap trilogy well. I keep hoping that First Avenger, Winter Soldier, and Civil War will form a solid Cap trilogy, and I can see how something Civil War-esque could be a fitting conclusion. The man out of time trying to find a way to serve his country when it goes too far in taking away freedom, even if it means going against that same country. It's a solid continuation thematically from TWS, and I would be surprised if they didn't kill him off at the end (and then bring him back during Ragnarok or whatever for Infinity War). Make him the Coulson-like spark for the new breed of Avengers, and it'd be a nice symmetry to the end of First Avenger.

From the SHH boards:

Here's the rundown on most of the new costumes for CW. A good chunk of this hasn't been made public yet, but Badass Digest did break the scoop on some of these. We should start seeing the new looks when set photos start coming out.
Cap - Modified AoU suit, much simpler and cleaner than AoU design, sits somewhere between the stealth and AoU suits. Those who think the AoU suit is overdesigned will like this new version. Compared to AoU, they got rid of a lot of the red highlights as well as the white on the biceps. The arms do have a red line going across where the bicep meets the shoulder. The rest of the suit is a direct carryover from AoU, including Avengers logo, arm magnets, and gaiters.

Iron Man - Yep there will be a Mk46. It's essentially a modified Mk45 but with a few key changes - more gold in the torso and arms to break up the all the 45's red, smoother faceplate design (similar to the Mk3-7 helmets), and last but not least, an inverted trapezoid cutout over the round chest RT. The 45 has a hexagon cutout btw.

Black Panther - Not much change to the already revealed concept art. The suit is generally fabric throughout, with the mask being metal or some other hard material. The necklace is still there. I did get to see some early CGI work showing BP's movements. They pretty much nailed it, very acrobatic and animal-like, not quite the acrobat as Spider-Man, you can definitely tell BP's carrying more weight than Spidey as he moves around.

Falcon - Very dark costume overall, mostly dark gray with some red. Kinda reminds me of Wolvie's DOFP future costume, also has a mix of hard armor components and fabric. Wings look pretty much the same as TWS.

Ant-Man - Yes he'll be in the movie, presumably it's Lang and not Pym. Also will have Giant-Man ability. Badass Digest already broke this. Couldn't really tell if he gets a new suit, looked pretty much the same, but the new ability is most definite.

War Machine - This one is baffling to me. I've seen concept art of WM fighting Falcon where he's wearing what appears to be a new suit, but I've seen other standalone concept art for WM where it's the Mk2 suit from IM3/AoU. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Crossbones - We will see Rumlow in full costume, looks very Stevenson Punisher-esque. Black tactical gear with crossbones graffiti painted on his vest and skull design on his mask (couldn't tell if mask was a helmet or fabric). I'd say it looks pretty true to the comic look.

Didn't some of these (Cap, IM, WM, Falcon) come from a member on these boards? I certainly remember reading these identical descriptions in some of the threads.

I really liked the civil war story line. It's not perfect. But I found it entertaining. And some of the exclusive covers where amazing.

I also dig the iron spider look. Not as a full time look for spiderman. But as a suit for a special missions type of deal. I think it on a shelf with a couple iron man suits would look great!

I didn't hate the Civil War story arc, but it wasn't my favorite, either. Still, as a fan of comics as a kid, I'm just excited that my "childhood" has continued well into my adult years! The more movies Marvel wants to pump out featuring many of my childhood heros, the better! I love seeing them "brought to life"! :yess:

That said, I'm in for Team Tony!!

I disliked civil war. Everyone was on the wrong team I wanted them to be in. I guess it was better than the fake reality events, and nothing happened.

Team Cap! But I'm a friggin Ironman fan...

You might as well skip the infinity war part one becuase there will be one in part two. And skip it for the next one. Heck might as well not buy one ever just in case in 15 years there's a better one.

I do not understand that thinking.

Well I usually get the costumes I like. XD I skipped out on the Mark 43 and probably 45 if the rumor if the 46 is true. It all depends on the character. I'm done getting Black Widow's costume wise. I'm just waiting for a headsculpt with her longer hair now if they ever get to it but i'm content with the one I have now. I'm also very very happy with the Hulk I have, I don't need another one.

I don't think it's a bad thing to wait though. I think it's just a taste thing. Plus, if you have the patience, why not? I pretty much go for definitive versions of characters now unless I like the costumes, like for Cap. Hell, i'm skipping AOU Wanda cause of the Civil War Wanda, same with Sam or waiting to get Thanos for the Infinity Gauntlet down the line. I don't see anything wrong with that. I think it goes with everything really. Iphones and ****, too. People always wait for new iphones but uhh yeah same thing. Just get what you want and if you wanna buy or skip. Do what you like.

Wait, are we voting for something?

Hang on, Civil war, that's Cap's big one right?

It's funny, because in reality I agree more with iron Man's side--all these super-powered people destroying Manhattan on a regular basis need some supervision. But there's no way I could ever go against Cap, so I'm TeamCap.

I am against regulation and rules in general but its hard for me to side with Cap since i find him so uptight and boring. Dilemmas! :gah:
