I am against regulation and rules in general but its hard for me to side with Cap since i find him so uptight and boring. Dilemmas! :gah:

Ooooooooo_ooh_oooh_cat_shrek.gif

Team Tony

And I predict that he will use the Mark 45 in the beginning and then switch to the new Mark 46 once the Mark 45 has become too battle damaged.

Remember how Cap took out a combat plane in Winter Soldier? The man is resourceful. I wouldn't count him out in a fight against Iron Man.

Make that 27 for Team Steve.

28 for Team Steve.

I'm not a fan of the comic Civil War arc, because it's too much of an example of plot over character for me. But right now I'm going with faith in the MCU and the Russo brothers to make a good adaptation of it.

Cap may be a little uptight, but he was correct on his stand. IMO, no way does the government need to know the identities of the super heroes.

Great thread Brainiac, while I think (and hope) the story will shift peoples opinion over the course of the film (I am assuming for the time being they will want you to sympathise with Stark never mind if you agree) and I do love Iron Man I think I have to join popular choice and back #teamCap.

I am assuming discussing anything related to AoU is GTG in this thread being the sequel? Ok here I go...

When it comes down to rosters I think Falcon is a safe bet on Cap's side along with Widow and Hawkeye. Stark will most likely have War Machine siding with him (although they have hinted at Rohdey's frustration with Tony in the past so they could have him side with Cap and either Widow or Hawkeye with Tony) but other than that I'm not sure.

Vision I think will either side with Cap (believing in freedom for all... or least thats what I took away from AoU) but could go either way as may Witch.

I could bet Hill and Fury will side on the side of Registration due to their SHIELD backgrounds, although if they were brought into it (I bet it ends up a S3 thread but they will at most be an easter egg in the film) I can not imagine Coulson bringing his rebuilt SHIELD against Cap (though that could be a powerful story in the show, Coulson siding against his literal fanboy hero).

When it comes to figures I am most looking forward to seeing Iron Man and Cap (not that either of them are certain buys for me, seeming I will have Cap from AoU and by the end of the year 4 Iron Men not counting the possibility I pick up the 45), Scarlet Witch and Falcon looked great at the end of AoU and I imagine their costumes may be similar. I want a Widow and going to hold out and see which I prefer between AoU and CW, if they go with longer hair more like IM2 then that will sell it for me. Unless Vision is any different what so ever I will stick with the plan on grabbing his AoU version which may or may not be my last one from this film (refer back to the Mark 45 and Widow).

Anyone else is too early to guess as we have no idea what they may look like, I would still love a Hill but it would depend if they come up with something as good as her SHIELD uniform (which she was oddly wearing during AoU) and Sharon Carter may get figure treatment this time round along with Rumlow.

Thanks Chris :hi5:

There is an Age of Ultron thread :lol but I guess you're right on that one :lol

Actually yeah I'm interested to know what people think the rosters will be for each team, because I might do team signatures too.
I agree that Falcon will follow Cap and so will Widow(iffy but I think Cap is a safe bet) and I'm also not sure about Hawkeye but I think he hates authority in a way. I hope we see Vision in this but I really have no clue if we will, he also seems to be a 'whatever is most logical type of character' and 'on the side of life', which might mean he's for the registration act because he thinks it will protect people from the more dangerous unpredictable superheroes. Scarlet Witch could also go either way, but I think she'll side with Vision and/or Cap.

With Figures I just hope I have all the AOU ones in hand before these arrive, wishful thinking I know but I have trips to the US planned for the end of the year and several times next year, and Comic Con and other stuff so I really don't know if I'd get them all, but I would like to.

If I had to choose though I would pick Cap and Iron Man for sure, and Zemo. I'd leave out Falcon(after seeing the new costume) and I'd get Vision no doubt, and Scarlet Witch, but I'd drop the rest for sure

and it really does depend on how they look and what the figures end up like.... so yeah, I think its a little early to know for sure :rolleyes2

Also, WTH people 12 pages in and no Civil War Memes :rotfl

I'll have some previews for the sigs up later :wave

I still say BW for Team Tony but we'll see. One of the many things to come to mind is the somewhat heated dispute on A1 when discussing 'PHASE 2' and Tesseract weapons.

Are you all really that naive? S.H.I.E.L.D monitors potential threats

I don't know guys, I know a lot has happened since A1, but she strikes me the type that would side with Tony's logic, even if it means risking her 'friendship' with the Cap. Moreover she is still a ruthless assassin and in Hulk/Banners absence, I think it's not as clear cut as people think. ;)

Scarlet witch I feel is a likely one to side with Cap, given that she's hardly Tony's biggest fan to start with and her character strikes me as one that would be anti-registration act.

All that said: I even wonder (outside the 100 'teaser' trailers) if they will even divulge that kind of info as it could very well act as a spoiler in terms of the screen play and scenes that might work best the viewer not knowing if X is on Team A or B in advance.

Either way I too am looking forward to Sigs! :lecture

For figures I'll get:

-Bucky (for sure)
-Falcon (If I like the costume more than his TWS look)
-Scarlet Witch (I'll pass on her for AOU unless she's in her costume, then I might go ahead and pick the AOU version up)

I have an AOU Hawkeye and Cap on order. Can't imagine they'll look different enough for me to worry about the CW versions.

I'll wait for the movie to decide on anyone else.

Pre-TWS, she would be on Tony's, but I can't see that for the character after her development in TWS. I'm expecting her to side with Cap, because that would be keeping with her character direction at this point.
