Ok, i'm paying for it now but I literally dropped off my family at home and went straight back for a 2nd viewing!

That pretty much should tell you were I stand with this movie, my detailed thoughts will come later today.

Now many are stating the obvious, that this is the 1st set of MCU movies that improve as they progressed, in other words a perfect trilogy.

While technically true it's also worth keeping in mind that it absolutely needs IM1/2/3, Avengers, AOU, Ant-Man and even the TIH (of all movies) for this movie to reach that level of excellence.

Even without Hulk and Thor being present this is actually a better "Avengers" movie than Avengers and AOU!

This is the MCU's TDK, not just in quality but also literally with
Zemo's manipulation of core characters.
.

Gosh, my only personal gripe is that...(not really a spoiler but whatever i'll tag it..

I was hoping for a Tim Roth and Liv cameo on the raft especially since they went to the trouble of bringing Ross back. it would've been perfect having Roth be in jail and would've served as a great location to reintroduce Betsy Ross into the MCU working at the raft for her father. Ok fine, even if no Liv but at least Roth, would've been perfect, what a missed opportunity.

My detailed thoughts later.

I really don't see how superhero action can get better than this, not with the Justice League movie or even Infinity War, it just can't!

It's going to be near impossible just to match this as it is, so to improve upon it will no doubt be a challenge.

Poor X-Men Apocalypse.

Poor WB/DC.

Deadpool who.

Agree...Marvels best trilogy...hmm hmm

Idk why anyone is bringing up BVS besides the fact that they were insanely similar throughout, I don't think I ever rated it higher than this?

You said:

I have no idea where people who are calling this a 10/10 are coming from.

And I simply responded that I, personally, can't for the love of me, see how anyone can even like BvS. I could bring up other movies, but I opted for the most recent example. I could've replaced it with MoS or any other CBM. Nevertheless, that doesn't make their opinion invalid. It's just a different POV. For some CW is a 10/10 and for you it's not. That's cool. But you don't need to understand why they're rating it a 10. For them, and for a lot of folks, it is a 10.

Heading out this morning for my second viewing.....really enjoy when a movie the raises the bar. DeadPool re-opened the door for an R rating, CW total overall goodness.....Too bad other films this year couldn't pull their weight maybe SS and Strange will continue the trend.

IMO, you can't leave saying "Team Cap" rah rah.

As WS said:

"But I did it"

No one is above the law. Cap was putting himself and his friend above the law for selfish reasons.

I kind of like it though. Makes Cap's character more compelling, in my eyes.

Was it Wanda who said:

"You stand for what you believe in, even when it's wrong" [probably butchered paraphrase]

Cap is right in saying that the 170 Nations in the Accords will all have their own agendas. Even BP agrees that two people talking can get more done than 100.

If you lead a team of Avengers and saw what happened with SHIELD, how can you willingly work for these "170 Nations"? Nothing would ever get accomplished.

I literally said " everyone has their own opinion". do you know what black widow said to bucks when he had his hands around her throat ?

I'm still with Stark though (to an extent).

You can't be above the law. Cap found the eventual middle ground by aligning with Wakanda (or was it Wakanda aligning with him?).

Tony Stank though.... :D Best part of the film!

Agreed. That's why it's a great script. Both sides are right, and both sides are wrong. Very 'real'.

8/10 Good action sequences and character banter as always.
The film didn't take any risks though at all.

This is Disney we are taking about

Won't get to see this for a bit, I'm in India for the time being

Will get to catch XMen Apocalypse so I'll get to compare both films back 2 back

Geez mate, no need to get all defensive. I didn't say you were wrong or criticized you, I just said my piece. I loved CW and felt indifferent towards BvS/AoU/MoS. I'm just saying that where you found problems with CW, I (and others) didn't, hence the high scores...

I think it was 'You could at least recognise me'

I'm really hoping this leads to a Widow/Bucky film down the road. The Red Room, the intrigue, her backstory and connections, it'd make for an excellent espionage film. Plus, their romance is the best in comics, period. Brubaker's Buck and Nat were bloody great. It's just a shame it all went down the drain towards the end, and now nobody can write a proper Winter Soldier.

Ah that's what I thought. So maybe they have a past? Or was she referring to something in the winter soldier movie?

Movie-Wise, she said she met him once and he shot her during an escort mission (CA:TWS). In the comics, Buck as WS was her trainer in the Red Room and they had a fling. After regaining his memories, they became a couple. Towards the end of his solo, she lost all memory of him, ending their relationship.

I am not defensive, i know everyone has their opinions... I said a couple things and like 5 people commented with laughing emojis and "voices in my head" "whut" without even quoting me. What do you expect me to do. I'm just on here having fun talking about a movie and reading stuff I may have missed. My bad
